Mine was about 4 years ago... we just got the internet(MSN internet access - $5AUD/hour) and i found out what a search engine was, once i got tired of searching for 'free games' being the curious teen i was, i went to altavista(the only search engine i knew of at the time) and typed in 'porn' or 'xxx' and i found.... a few crappy sites with some low-res(320*200 i think) low-quality pics, there were only about 10-15 pics i had that were worth saving to my HD.. the only sponsor-like site i can remember was something like babylon X...hehe i remember using 'microsoft comic chat' and the first virsion of ICQ(remember when ICQ made that boat noise when you started it?) to ask people if they wanted to trade porn pics...

damn, it was so hard to find free porn then(maybe it was just my finding skills) and the pics i did find were so shit :1orglaugh

a few years after that i received my first cheque from online business - from alladvantage :)

a couple years after that i'm getting started in the online adult biz

things have sure changed in those four years... lets hear some stories, what was your first internet porn experience?

I first got online in 1996. I remember the quality of the porn was really shitty, but I didn't care because I was just excited to get free porn. Back then, most of the porn was stuff that people just scanned from their old collections of porn magazines. One site I remember using a lot was Richards Realm and Danger Dave.

it was at an internet cafe... did the same mGreg did... altavista.. yahoo searched for porn and i went tru 100s of sites with million popups.. i guess i visited every damn sponsor lol
then the guys at the internet cafe saw me surfing porn and banned me for 6 months.... after half a year i went back and guess what i did :D

I don't remember what year it was ..maybe '96.. but my girlfriends 17 year old brother (who was a computer wizkid) told me about Persian Kitty. It was the first website I ever visited, porn or otherwise! I was instantly addicted.

January 1998 - Porn wasn't easy to find. Hardly any free galleries. Crap quality.

Sites have come a long way, but the sheer number of free galleries is one thing that should never have been introduced.

I've never bought a porn membership, and don't see it anytime soon. Free stuff everywhere.

must've been early 98, the news did some story on a teen porn site (they apparently thought since it said teen that it must be child porn) :1orglaugh anyways, i now knew the url to porn, and i was there quick, i signed up for there 3 day trial, went to the site once, and ended up rebilling for like 6 months because i didnt quite understand the concept of what was going on :(

i agree that there was less free porn on those days BUT it's always the same thing; when you're into a scene/business you always think there is more competition than back in the days when you were not in the scene/business.

i remember getting into hosting business about 2 years ago. a half year after we started we thought; 'damn , everybody is starting hosting nowadays' , while in fact that wasn't the case at all... it just seemed to be like that because we started working in that business a half year before causing we suddenly discovered a lot of companies which we weren't aware of when we first started...

and that's same as when you first start in the online porn biz.

back in 96, i think the only place to find free porn was persian kitty. less pop ups, and seemed like everything was paysites.

i shoulda started up a site when i started university in 95.

I was pulling porn in '84 off of a local BBS network with a Commodore64 and a modem that would've started uploading if it had been any slower.

In the mid-90's, while I was majoring in CompSci at UNO, a classmate turned me on to a mailing list that listed about 50 or so FTP porn sites each week, none of which lasted more than a day or so before disappearing. Unfortunately, we had monochrome monitors in the lab, so the pictures left a bit to be desired at the time! However, I did find Usenet at about the same time and began participating in the newsgroups. Only problem with that was being unable to configure a newsgroup client, so I had to access messages through a multi-step click-through via the Mother of all Gophers.

It was another two years before someone else showed me how to install Mosiac on my school account and I found the World Wide Web. From then on, it was smooth sailing! I established my first site the same month that AltaVista went online...

Back in 95 ->

Yahoo -> search for porn -> Persian Kitty -> Loyal bookmarker since then (read: Loyal freeloader).

then Alladvantage made the program so if you didnt move your mouse every now and then, it wouldnt rack up, so a program was going around that automatically moved your mouse.. :winkwink:

i referred over 200 people to alladvantage and i didn't earn one penny. :( what a joke...

I first started crawling through newsgroups in 96, saving the dirty pics on my harddrive. later I ended up on Al4a, which was my "jerk ground" for quite a while.

Late 1980s. World Wide Web did not exist. Usenet pics were out there, but I did not have access. I did have access to an academic machine that would do gopher searches. Gopher searchs for porn keywords that returned me lists of fruitful FTP directories and passwords....

Content was mostly BBS scans. Anybody remember the BBS days? Downloading pics at 1200 baud and watching them draw on your screen line by line?

When I finally got decent (i.e., flat rate) dialup access in 1994 I kept my modem online 24/7 running pictures robots against Usenet. There wasn't much useful on the Web for free for a coupla more years.

Gawd, now y'all make me feel old.

Back in 85, my boss at the video bar was showing off our new computerized control board. He was telling us how he could talk to other people on his computer at home. He handed me a sheet of paper he'd torn off his printer with ASCII pics of big titted babes. He said to me: "This shit is great! You can even get porn..."

10 years ago...1992 I think...I used to use AOL back in the day...i think i had a 2400 and i couldnt wait to get a 14.4...when I did, I was surfing like crazy. I used to get those AOL disks in the mail (before cd's) and then something like AOHELL? anyone remember AOHELL? It would set up free accounts on AOL for 3 or 4 days before AOL shut it down...I used to go to chats and would trade pics with people. I would then save them to disk...I had like 50 disks with around 20-30 pics on each...those were the good old days.

Mine was 5 years ago and only finding ADultcheck sites and kept fucking getting stopped at the good stuff (the adult check signup page) Finally i had to get in and paid for a membership.

Then learned about TGPs and no more paid memberships for me! lol
