SEO! Worth Learning???
Been really thinking about having some time learning SEO. I'm really a newbie with SEO though..
My question is... Is SE optimization worth learning for? I mean, if I dedicate myself studying SEO.. Does it really help a website grow even without trade links from other sites, etc? Any thoughts? :) |
Depends...do you want to rely on buying and trading traffic forever?
now whose going to be the first nerd to come in here and give off the classic overused line? |

This topic is so 2004. SEO is dead. You can't manipulate search engines any more.
BTW, did I mention that Google now has 2HousePlague and tapioca pudding in the same file? |

Seo is a full time job, half a day will definately increase your knowledge but the sites that benefit from their efforts are ones that work it fulltime all the time, its not so much a way of building sites, but moreso a complete mindset in how you work your sites, and a mindset isnt easily taught.
There is numerous methods, numerous means, and almost every good seo does stuff diferantly then his/her competition. What works for me is taboo for others, and vice versus. Not that its black hat or even grey, but simply its the whole package your promoting, not just a site, but backlinks, content, content on your backlinks..etc. You can make some serious cash if you are smart, but there is only 10-15 solid seo's in adult who make any serious money. Alot of people will tell me thats bullshit but i know what i do, and what it pays, and i know who my competition is, and there is not many. And i guarentee everyone at that level puts in solid days, and nights, maintaining their network and aquiring new developements to work with. You can learn what it takes, and i imagine some will let you pay them to teach you, but in the end it will all revolve around what you know and how you use it. Expect it also to take weeks, sometimes months to see any type of results as you learn, and much of your success will be in how you relate the work your doing to your results in the serps, and how you can implement changes to your site to make that serp change to your benefit. If you have the time and the smarts, its possible to do some big things, and get some big results. But keep in mind you will be competing with some very sharp people, who have a couple years head start on you, and many have mastered their game, so be prepared to work for it. |

Learning SEO is like becoming a zen master. You must become enlightened and only once you discover nirvana will you truly be blessed by all that is SEO.
How's that for an answer as opposed to the one in my sig. WG |
1. it's a never-ending learning process that can be very time consuming.
2. there is no guarantee your work will ever amount to anything. so you make the decision yourself. |
create a new blogspot blog.
put the word "teen" in the title and meta tags submit the blog to google cash your checks |
It's good to know some basics, but don't expect search engines to be your main source of traffic.

great! tnx for all the reply. :)

i would learn it
