Inside Deep Throat - watch it
 

I just finished watching the feature length documentry Inside Deep Throat and it was pretty good. More interesting than the actual film to me. Anyway, a bit at the very end is at the AVN show but the is is basiclly the story of Deep Throat ,the people in it and what happened to the States because of it.

There is certainly some parallel in the documentry to what is happening to our part of the industry at the moment. Perhaps it can be said that internet porn is the modern version of deep throat in terms of being talked about in mainstream society and now the backlash from the gov't because of it.

For sure they talked about at the end of the film about the changing of the laws. One of the lawyers that prosecuted Hary Reams ends the documentry by saying that he thinks the climate is even more ripe now for going after pornographers. He says 'if only these terrorists would go away we could do more'.

GREAT documentary.

Indeed..better than atleast two of the other films up for best documentry at the Oscars. Guess they couldn't nominate anything that would require some A-list star to say 'deep throat'.

I haven't seen the actual Deep Throat movie.

excellent documentary

I saw it in November and thought it was pretty lame but then I was watching it on a hotel tv in New York in 2005. It is partially because of the film that down the line I was able to do that.

Anyway, she is in the documentry but her mother is in it more.

If you think the documentary is good, then you would love to have had sit down conversations I have had with Mr. Pistol, the owner of the original film and Arrow productions. He is a trippy cool guy (and the distributor of one of my films.). There is a lot more scoop on the film and the making of the documentary then could ever make it to print and I cannot repeat.

Also Deb.. From what I have seen Pistol would LOVE your work and we should talk sometime...

I've actually never seen the original... gotta remedy that.
I have seen Behind the Green Door though, so i'm not totally lame.
