get it. totally rocks. the edge network is 8 times as fast as gprs, and the screen is a thing of beauty. not to mention it's half the weight, and much, much faster.

...i would never consider going for a blackberrry, i think its too big!

What's the model number? I'm surprised I didn't hear about it considering I know like 20+ RIM employees, lol. I thought the edge network is on Bell only, not Rogers?

Edge is GSM technology. Bell uses CDMA technology.

What blackberry do you guys have? I'm looking to buy one.
We dont have the 8700rs over here :( I might end up with an 8700C or a 7520 (since I hate cingular).

Model 7520 here nothing wrong with them.
I guess it depends on what you use it for.
Mine is simple for email when away from the office.

I have the Nextel Blackberry 7520, mainly because of the TCP/IP stack with the Nextel's you can SSH from them directly without using a BES. I also have a nice IRC client on here, AOL AIM, Google Maps.

So I checked with Rogers, they do look great and the highspeed internet is pretty damn fast but they didn't raise the bandwidth allowances in the plans. So its still 1/2/25 meg plans. Smart way to try and get us to use more pipe faster and nail us on the overage, hehe. I still got a year left on this plan so I'll probably just keep it and get a new BB at the end of it.
