How long does it take to get a gun in California?
 

If i went down the the gun shop today to purchase a gun, about how long does it usually take for paperwork to clean and all that shit?

i am glad that here in PA it is instant. i want a gun, i goto the store and have them phone in my background check, and then hand the firearm over to me. same thing with the carry permits. takes about 15 minutes down at the county buiding.

Not sure about Cali but in Arizona it takes about 10 minutes.

Get the heck out of cali if you want a CCW. There are 32 States that are "right-to-carry" states, and California sure as HELL ain't one of 'em!:1orglaugh

Well actually it takes about 1 minute for them to call in the background check to NICS (national instant criminal background check system) established by the FBI. 71% get the ok within 30 seconds. If anything suspicious pops up, they can delay for up to 3 days to do a more detailed records check.

No difference between rifles and handguns. The background check applies to dealers, but not private individuals selling their own guns to another indivdual...
