Best Satelite Providers In Canada

Whats the best satelite provider in canada?

I'm looking at getting a satelite system, but I don't want to have to buy 2 PVRS since they are 800 bucks each, and having 2 just seems a little too redundant.

Is there any way to use your digital cable PVR to record satelite? I've called the companies and they don't seem to understand my question.

Maybe someone here has hooked something like this up? You would think u would be able to hook the satelite signal into the input of the digital cable PVR or even the digital cable signal into a satelite PVR.

Thanks!

You cannot use your cable PVR in a satellite stream. It will not be able to decode the signal from the dish. Your only "legal" choices in Canada are BEV and Star Choice. Go with BEV because it is "hackable"....a few mods to your TSOP....and no I cannot help you do this

hey seth ..

is there no way to re broadcast the signal after its decoded via some tv outputs ?

Do u think I could accomplish the opposite ? putting the digital cable signal or at least outputted signal from it into the satelite PVR ?

thanks!!!!!

Easy solution : Just sell your damn PVR on Ebay and then buy one from Bell..

Oh and you don't want a PVR from Starchoice.. Don't make that mistake. Go with Bell.

So you think I can do what I want with just a satelite PVR ? And whats wrong with a StarChoice PVR ? I've heard they have some problems but I'm not sure what .. I like the starchoice channels better so I'd really rather go with them if they aren't complete crap

thanks !
