Anyone here use X-Cart?

How easy is it to make new templates for it to change the look?

Also... any problems with it?

Thanks,
DWB

its very easy to plug in mechant accounts and the interface is pretty straightforward and to the point. The sales search page could use more details

The forums are a life saver with x-cart. It can drive you a bit crazy at times though.

One of our carts uses Xcart with their affiliate add-on module through Netbilling. Works seamlessly.

Good to hear!

X-cart fucking rocks

And their tech support can fix just about anything. They did all of our integration for www.trashypictures.com, and NATS got it setup so that our affiliates can send surfers to the video site and get paid for for DVD sales (through Netbillng). Their templates are a bit of a pain, based on the Smarty system which I am not a big fan of. Once you get past the admin which is quite tedious at first, the program is easy to run. It's not horribly expensive either. I think we paid something like 1000.00 for the cart, the modules, and a custom integration which was complately done in about a month and a half...

So you are running X-cart through NATS and processing it through Netbilling? Does that wrk better than X-cart's affiliate module?

trashymedia 03-08-2006 12:59 PM

Not sure

Actually we have never tried the X-cart affiliate module. I am pretty sure it works great, though, as all their other mods run very well. We wanted a more flexible solution for our affiliates, rather than making them sign up separately to promote either DVD or subscription sales, which is why we ran it all through NATS. With one ID, you can do it all, because it passes the refer code from site to site and into the video store. If you are using a stand alone cart, the Xcart affiliate module would probably be a great way to track sales through your affiliates. We would be curious to see how it works for you...
Jeff

PS, DWB if you need any help with your cart (assuming you get one from X-cart), let me know...

I was wanting to set mine up exactly like you did yours. I'm opening a new program with NATS and wanted my affiliates to get paid on DVD sales as well.

I'm sure I will hit you up dazed and confused. lol

trashymedia 03-13-2006 09:30 AM

Yeah, no problem

Shoot me an ICQ 172967634, as I only read the first two or three pages on GFY normally....
Talk to you soon,
Jeff
