I got a dedicated server! Should I share?

Well I just leased a new server with lots of bandwidth and space. There is not possible way I can use it all every month. I am thinking about sharing it with people who sign up under me for at least 3 of my affiliates. I think I could give everyone at least 1 to 2 gigs of space and about 10 gigs of bandwith a month for free. If you guys think it is a good idea and I had enough people that want it I will do it. Each person would point their domain to my server and I they would have Cpanel on my Linux server.

Lets hear your opinions..and GFY

just so ya know....most people here wouldn't bend over to pick up a 5spot they dropped in the parking lot

pr0 is right, that's pennies. Once you have a couple hundred gigs of bw to play around with, then this might be of interest.

1400 gigs of bandwidth a month
dual 80 gig hard drives

How should I split it then?

I was just putting thos number out there to get ideas.

What is a minimum that someone would need?

I would like to keep at least 100 gigs of the 1400 for myself so that leaves 1300 gigs of bandwidth..

remember, you're not giving this away free...you expect people to signup under you at sponsors....so create some more value

100gigs or more minimum....figure 100gigs costs $10, is $10 worth the hour it takes to signup & confirm at 3 sponsors?

so make it 150....now you're talking 15$, you might get some bites

Yea but most of those are on overtaxed servers or on crappy networks, or both, but I guess if thats all the space and bw you need who gives a fuck.

So this is what I am going to dol. Right now I will take 6 people who are willing to sign up for at least three of my affiliates. In return I will give them free hosting on my server. I will take more as time progresses but only 6 for now.
