Great Steak Places...Which One's?
So I had an awesome steak last night in LA, at BOA. What are the great steak places you've been to?
|
I like the steak at houston's
|
Nick and Stef's in Downtown LA hands down the best steak house in this part of the hemisphere :thumbsup
|
Smith and Wollensky's was pretty damn good
|
Delmonicos. Sundial in ATL was good during the WMA a few years ago but not so good at a more recent trip. I would go to Smith and Wollensky's just for the mac and cheese......LOVE THAT STUFF.

Craftsteak at the MGM.

Delmonicos in Vegas, Durants in Phoenix and Frasiers in Scottsdale are 3 of the better American steaks I have attacked and conquered.
The BEST however are in this fine country .... The "Brekky Creek Hotel", I eat at at LEAST once per week when I am home - http://www.breakfastcreekhotel.com/ and When in Sydney, Ribs and Rumps, overlooking the beach at Manly is awesome and always gets a visit - http://www.ribsandrumps.com.au/ ;-) |
Sizzlers
and Kennedy's Steak House in S. Lake Tahoe |

We sponsored a dinner there at Internext and had to set up the options for dinner ahead of time. goodgirl suggested the mac and cheese and while apprehensive (as I had never had anything that wasn't out of a box before) I agreed to it. I have to admit, that stuff was pretty damn good. |
In LA I absofuckinglutely love Lawrys.
I don't even regularly eat red meat... but I do at that place! Outside LA the title has to go to Smith & Wollensky with Ruth Chris's tailing. |
Here's the steak I'll be eating in a few...

LOL its almost 5pm. I brain farted.
|
PS We ate at Delmonico's in January and it was terrific - but I still vote for Craftsteak ahead of it.
|
Mom's homemade steak is still the best for me.. :thumbsup

Just don't let Tonda find out. |
It isn't the best but it is the most fun when you are cruising route 66. The signs start states away "free 72 ounce steak at the big texan" and when you cruise into Amarillo, Texas, there it is. Texas shaped swimming pool, cheesy decor and all.
If you watch King Of The Hill, the episode where Bobby eats the steak to piss off his vegetarian girlfriend was based on the Big Texan. I have watched folks eat the steak and (like the hotdog contests) the skinny ones often do it. last years results here by year http://houseofapps.com/bigtexan/view.php for instance John L Huey male 37 280 5'1" Murrieta, CA USA 03/29/2005 |
The New York sirloin at baton Rouge is awesome ...
Hum..... Meat :) |
I went to this fabulous Argentinean resturaunt in Amsterdam and that was pretty awesome...I have been to a ton here and in the states...they were all pretty good.
|
The Moshulu in Philadelphia at Penn's Landing :)
|
The Keg has great steaks
|
Best steak I have had was at Harry Caray's in Chicago. Damn that thing was so fucking good.
