The GTO is sick :(

She has a bad case of bad breaks.. we are doing everything we can to save her.. but she might not pull through. Im asking everyone pray for her. She is old but a tough bitch.

Times like this are tough for everyone I know.. but This is when man bonds together the most.. Atleast some good can come of this.

let us pray...

Dear father, thank you for the blessings you have given us. Thank you for the sun and thank you for the stars, and thank god for all my pretty cars. Dear father I ask you to please give her another chance, she is a good girl and has much more good she can do on earth, if you just touch her today and heal her soul.

oh and I promise ill be good from now on

AMEN!

damn that rocks thanks

but i want to keep it all original, dont want to convert it to discs

it has warped rotors, 2 bad wheel cylinders and all the studs broke when they took off the housing

but they located all the right parts for it, even the same part number so should be all good

Sweet, keeping it original (with OEM parts) is a good way to go; especially good for the value of the vehicle. :thumbsup

I'm having brake probs with my '65 Galaxie and am considering upgrading the stock drum brakes. I haven't kept it stock anyways as far as the motor and interior and paint goes.

A nice set of cross-drilled slotted rotors with a nice set of BAER or Brembo Calipers will do a nice job of getting that thing slowed down.

I would love to do a 67 Goat my favorite year... love the stacked lights and the hood bubble...

a close friend has one that is metallic brown with Crager s/s wheels and it is as mint today as it was when he finished it in 85

btw..... Year One is the absolute shit.... they have madeit much easier to do a great restore

I've got a 66 GTO conv. I have been restoring for the last 3 years. If you are really looking for legit original parts, I know where to get them all.

Consider it a peace offering PD. Hit me up if you need contact info.

Oooooohhhh... pretty.... Im gonna go play with my car next week. Very excited.

HairToStay 03-07-2006 02:32 PM

Pics? My dream is a goat or preferably a Judge, but I can't find one from California that's rust free like my 'Stang (being restored right now).

Are you using NOS parts? I bought all NOS for my restoration. The car will never get what I paid if I decided to sell it, but I don't care, it's a driver and I'm not selling it!

Some of the parts were almost impossible to find, like the smog pump tubes and they tried to convince me to pull the smog pump but no way would I do that, especially with the engine rebuild just done and the head block specifically for that smog pump.

I have my eye on a '70 GTO that needs some work, no rust but the interior needs a lot of work.

Please post pics so I can drool in envy.

:)
