Re-Locating to the US - do I need a green card...
when running my own company? I bring tax money to the US - will they welcome me?? :)
|
I think you must hire a certain number of Americans and invest a certain amount of money into the company to be granted status in the US. Not 100% but its not the easiest thing in the world to do.

I hope you are not serious . . . would they just let you move to Germany from the US?
|
i think u can get a 2 year renewable visa if you are going to start a company and hire americans. there is a lot of paperwork involved and the us has to approve you. i have a friend and it took him 2 years to get approval...

Call an immigration lawyer. Like anything else it can be done with enough money.

You would have to integrate and learn their language and stuff.
Spanish is not as easy as it seems. |

As a friend i think it would be a HUGE business mistake by you. Your main strength is being in the Euro market. If you move to the US you join all the other american photographers/content producers and it will no doubt hurt you bad. |
they do full cavity search at the airports now

You can stay 90 days on your passport. I would do that first. I think they limit the amount of times you can come a year though. We went through all that with my wife. Long story but she was technically illegal for about 7 months while we worked out getting her permanent resident card, and then her greencard. You wont technically be able to work till you get the greencard, but you may be able to get a work visa, or do the business thing like mentioned above. Full greencard takes at least a year or two to get.

All contacts with models, agencies, my partner etc. are done by email, Skype, ICQ - technically it would be no problem. we meet maybe one week a month in person, i could even do that by flying in. |

that would be probably something i would do - trying it for 90 days. and thanks to Corys generous offer I already know where I can stay :thumbsup thanks, man! :) |

US Immigration law is a mess. Talk to a good immigration lawyer about it. But come over here for a month or two and try it out before going to the trouble of getting the visa.

You might want to know, that if you want to stay in the US, then you have to apply for the work visa - residential visa - green card...whatever you want via the US embassy in Germany...
You can apply via INA in US, and they can grant you the permit, but they will tell you that next time you go to Germany, then you have to go to the US embassy to have them to stamp the valid visa in your passport....and if they don't like you...then they over rule the INA permit...I tell you my friend...it's very difficult.... |
Make sure you invest in a quality radar detector... You'll miss those autobahns!
