What CPU brand (Intel or AMD) do you run in your workstation?

AMD Sempron 3300+ in my lap, and AMD Athlon 1800+ in my desktop box.

I'll put money that all the votes for intel are from people that have prebuilt instore computers or laptops.

Intel, and I built them myself. Except the laptop, that came from Dell.

How do you like it? Was thinking about upgrading to the dual core, but heard the difference in performance is not that great.

Have bought nothing but AMD for 8 years.

I cant see the point in running an Intel at 30% + more money.

The only Intel Ive ever had was in a Compaq Laptop and it fried in less than a year.

Just finished putting together my Intel System a month ago. I've never seen an AMD that didn't have problems after the 1st few months.

I got the Pentium 4 Extreme Edition 3.78 overclocked to 4.2.

It's fast.

I think I will build a Dual Xeon next... as a workstation. I am still sceptical about the 64 bit thing... and compatibility...

Majority of my pc's are intel based

AMD all the way. Even run 4-way dual core server's with them. They are the best in server and workstation. And anyone that thinks Intel is faster should actually understand how processor's work first.

Both. Intel for the main computer.
I will probably go Dual Core AMD by the end of the year.
