Who here has had a Kidney Stone???

So Friday morning, I wake up with this kinda sharp pain on the left side of my back. Figure hmmmm something not right, so I head out to my doctor. He does the usual "does this hurt, how about this?" tests and get me to give him a urine sample. I won't go into details, but it wasn't pretty. He gave me some antibotics incase I had an infection and some "pain" pills. Come to find out they weren't for pain, just to stop the spasaming.

Get home around 10 and try to get some sleep. WRONG. The pain was sooo bad I threw up like 6 times before deciding to go to the ER. Got there, checked in, and threw up again.....the sound echoed so bad a nurse came to make sure I was alright, this was before I was even looked at. Had the HOTTEST nurse take care of me all night. She gave me morphine, so I felt no pain after about 3 minutes.

So now, I get to strain my pee and wait for this lovely projectile to come flying through my cock........JUST WHAT I ALWAYS WANTED TO DO!!!! :Oh crap

I hate docs that give antibiotics "incase" without checking in the lab if and what type of bacterias. People get even more sick later or resistant for that reason.

Anyway... it hurts like hell when it comes. Drink a lot of water and get it over with, but NOT when it hurts :eyecrazy

pornguy 03-06-2006 11:32 AM

Never had that happen. Thank god!!!! But my wife has gall stoones, and we have to have something done about that soon. they also have her an an anti spasm pill.

nofx 03-06-2006 11:32 AM

that sucks bro

keep your head up though like a true solider.

riddler 03-06-2006 11:35 AM

have fun with that :P

i passed a 5mm one about a month ago.. go another 4mm one in the other kidney just waiting for the day to kick my ass..

bastardsquad 03-06-2006 11:46 AM

i have had kidney stones six times...it never gets any easier...i hate modern medicine but take the antibiotics...they give them to you because when it passes through your urethra it will probably do some scraping...they might have found some blood in your urine and thats why they gave them to you...
they didnt give you any pain meds?...if not get some...

drink a lot of water...nothing else...just water...other shit will irritate it...

good luck...:thumbsup

I've been downing like at leat a gallon of water a day, but nothing yet. I have some pain pills now, just in case. I haven't taken anything since they gave me the morphine at around 7pm Friday night. I think I over did it yesterday picking up my daughter though, but I think I pulled a muscle throwing up in my neck and back....HAHAHA!!!

Penthouse Tony 03-06-2006 11:54 AM

your post has just inspired me

to go fill up my cup of water and drink it all down

KRL 03-06-2006 12:07 PM

My father had them and I have a friend who had them. It can be pretty excruciating from the way they described it.

Good luck.

Manowar 03-06-2006 12:28 PM

i never have had them but they sound insanely painful

Painful isn't the word to describe it. :1orglaugh They say its the male equalivent to having a baby. I actually called my ex-wife and aplogized to her for having to go through child birth. :1orglaugh I honestly have never been in that much pain before. I'm just hoping I can pass it qiuckly and get it over with. I know it's going to hurt, but it's better than having a Urologist going up through there and flushing it out. Ummmm....I'll pass.

They will put you to sleep first before they did that :)

Some modern hospitals also have laserwave machine to crush the stone. Fast and painfree, and you will not feel too much when it come out.

sex69 03-06-2006 01:14 PM

You should have your kidney stones tested in a lab to find out what kind they are. After that a specialist can prescribe you a diet or pills to prevent you from having kidney stones in future.

Dagwolf 03-06-2006 01:17 PM

I've never had any but I'm probably due for one.

Downtime 03-06-2006 01:17 PM

never had one, thank god, and knock on wood

shuki 03-06-2006 02:19 PM

They are the worst pain I have ever had. Had them about 6 times and they never get better. I can deal with the pain a bit more now but they sneak up on you and then bammmm

WebairGerard 03-06-2006 02:23 PM

It's like trying to piss out marbles. FUCKING HURTS!!!

LadyMischief 03-06-2006 03:10 PM

My husband had his first kidney stone New Years Day, and he's been plagued ever since. Best of luck, they are the most unpleasant things in the world :)

Antonio 03-06-2006 03:23 PM

yup, once - more than 15 years ago, lovely pain, lots of puking as well

if you feel the pain again, fill up the bath with warm water and stay there for a while, trust me - it makes a huge difference ;)

the good thing is that I never felt anythyng passing trough my dick, it could be because of the shot that the nurse gave me in the hospital (I didn't feel any pain for a couple of hours), so you might be lucky as well

candyflip 03-06-2006 04:30 PM

My girlfriend has a bunch of them right now. There's not enough for them to warrant the laser procedure to get rid of them, so she's left with having to pass them...which so far has taken three weeks with no end in sight.

She's in a lot of pain and I feel horrible that there's nothing anyone can do.

SilverTab 03-06-2006 04:39 PM

I saw my father's friend passing some while he was peeing, I was about 12-13 years old....and he was a huge mofo!...the kind of guy looked extemely tough...LOL (well that's what I thought when I was young)

It was the only time I saw him cry!.... hehe

I could hear him scream...seemed EXTREMELY painful ....

I did..i cried like a lil bitch till they gave me morphine!

Penthouse Tony 03-06-2006 05:52 PM

my friend had them when he was in his early 20s. scared the shit out of me that i could get them so young too. i've heard that they are easier to form if you spend a lot of time sitting. it's a good idea to drink lots of water when at the computer.

Yeah, I'm only 26, so they say its between 25-40 year olds its most common. And 1 out of 10 people have them. Crazy shit.

tungsten 03-06-2006 06:08 PM

that sucks feel better

Spunky 03-06-2006 06:10 PM

I hear that will bring the toughest man to his knees..very painful

reynold 03-06-2006 06:22 PM

never experienced those, and I would never ever wish

I hope you get better

Wilbo 03-06-2006 07:16 PM

I had one when I was 18, never had any since. I passed it and it was about the size of a pot seed.

After Shock Media 03-06-2006 07:25 PM

Who ever said it is like pissing out a marble, fuck you. I want the damn marble. Marbles are at least round and smooth, kidney stones are jagged and gravel shaped. Hell I think I would rather have childbirth. At least with childbirth the opening is somewhat relative and the kid does not have to pass through nine to thirteen or more inches of your urethra.

I have felt all sorts of pain before and I would rather have half my body covered in a road rash that someone was pouring rubbing alcohol and salt on while slaming my dick between the hinge side of a car door than deal with passing kidney stones again.

Passing... what the fuck kind of word is that.

BoyAlley 03-06-2006 07:28 PM

Ok, this is enough to give a guy nightmares......

HighRoller 03-06-2006 07:54 PM

Be lucky, drink cranberry juice and lots of water all the time.

lyn1 03-06-2006 08:19 PM

I have had kidney stones. Makes childbirth a seem like a painless effort.

A lot of people who went on the Atkinson's Diet got kidney stones and this was my case. To much meat and your body becomes too alkaline leading to kidney stones.

I woke up one morning and thought someone was sticking a knife in my back and kept turning it. I couldn't even crawl to the car.

I symphasize with anyone who get kidney stones....ugh!!!!

Bump...

My girlfriend is having some right now...we spent some days at the hospital, but like Candyflip said, nothing they could do except give her morphine....they sent her back home, but tonight the pain is back...it sucks SO much to see her in such pain and be helpless about it!...The fucked up part is..the hospital gave her a Dylodile(sp?) perscription (that stuff is stronger than morphine)..but its pills, and she usually pukes them before they have any effect... (the med itself causes nausea.. + the pain etc)...

wow I wish I never have to go through this! :(

Didn't they offer lipsotripsy?

VicJay 03-17-2006 06:56 AM

Hi, and keep your head up!

One of my close friends had this shit in his kidneys! He works at the garage and fixes cars and one day he just passed out, in the middle of his working day! Then he had to spend a whole month in the hospital. The problem was - that this kidney stone has stuck in his ureter and there was a possibility of operation, to cut this fucking stone from his penis! Happily, everything went fine!

Wish you good luck and feel better :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

p.s. my advice - drink clean water to avoid this shit!!!

Canibal-7 03-17-2006 07:07 AM

I had them twice.

I remember I would only fell the pain during the night, while I tried to sleep. At first I thought it was my back, that's before I even knew we had kidneys, lol.

The first time, I had to through this ultrasound treatment to destroy them. That was kind of painful and really sucked.

The second time I decided to try an homeopathic tea which had been recommended to me by other, and you know what, it was less painful, faster, cheaper, less dangerous and more efficient.

Michaelious 03-17-2006 08:11 AM

they sound horrible how do you get them?

tranza 03-17-2006 08:55 AM

Boy do they hurt....

Hospital gave me a load of super strong pain killing sopisitorys..in case they came back... they must be about 10 yrs out of date now, but if a stone ever comes back they'll be strait up my arse... and I couldnt give a toss where I am or who I'm with!!!
