Still down here, just went to live support for some info, supprised by what they said!!

Sandy B.: there was an explosion with fire in the building, not in our datacenter. The power company technicians are working to fix it.

update : theres no fire, no idea when its back up, at least not today.

Were setting up failover right now, galleries are gonna be backup as soon as the dns resolves.

Looks like it's gonna take much time.

My server has been working since around noon so I guess shit's fixed over there.

No FHGs means no sales for many people. :) Why don't you set up a permanent mirror server and set the DNS record to expire in a relatively short time, like 10 mins? That way you can quickly shift the record to a different IP if something like this happens again.

thanks and yes thats what we did last night, the FHG have a failover now, TTL is shorter too. No more FHG downtimes :)

Did this host not have backup power? That is a no-no when choosing a host. I guess they are in a highrise, so that might not have been possible. Gas generator anyway.
