ATTN: Chili Media

Thank you for fixing that typo on your front page. "coming" is alot better than "comming".

EdgeXXX 03-05-2006 10:35 PM

typo was up for a couple weeks until i brought it to their attention. Quite embarrasing to say the least.....especially when you only have about 5 words on the whole page.

hey, Young - a lot of programs have COMMING instead of coming on their up and coming sites. maybe you better start sending out bulk emails to them :D

COMMING is almost as common a spelling mistake as CHOCKER ;)

Violetta 03-06-2006 01:20 AM

see sig! :)

They had two typos. Comming and maximise. I don't know what it is that "they" do but I hope they are better at it than they are at spelling.

Chili is a legend :-)

Question. Why are they spending money on buying up sigs when the prog hasn't even been launched?

Trying to create some interest before their program is finished. Why do movie studios show trailers before their movies are released?

Yeah, but movie trailers actually contain content, and in this case we're talking about live links to what is effectively a dead site. They may as well put a flashing "under construction" sign on it. :1orglaugh

Young, thank you for notifying us about that typo.
We hadn't checked the spelling on the splash page after the designer uploaded it as we hadn't advertised the URL yet.

Why are we pre-advertising? We have been dreaming for over 3 years about starting such a project. Over 14 people were involved in creating it for over a year. So we really wanted to have some branding in effect before the launch. We have spent so much on development that marketing the product is so important that you can truly put no pricetag on it.

When Chilli Media launches, people are going to think to themselves "oh, i've been waiting for this" because they already recognize the Chilli brand. That's the point.

people really can't steal the movie idea and try to beat them to the punch. if they advertised exactly what they do, you would likely get 5 people on here copy it, and try to launch before they do. I like what they are doing, creating interest before hand. not a bad idea, i might have to steal that idea for my next project, lol
