What is 'wrong' with ppl/companies nowadays.
 
Why is it that people/companies can not do what they say?

Company A: Yes we have your galleries ready tomorrow(2 weeks later now)
Company B: Sir, your phoneline will be activated next week.(1 week and a few days I had to make 3 calls to make it work)

and the list goes on and on.

When I say something, I stick to it. WHEN I see I won't be able to stick to it, I inform ppl up front, and keep them informed.

Why can not more ppl/companies do this?

Tell me about it, that's one thing that aggrevates the hell out of me. Been waiting on a link code for nearly 3 weeks now...

Tell me about it, I'd rather someone tell me it's going to take a month to get you a link code, at least that way I won't put my traffic on hold for them. Nothing worse I hate than losing money because a rep can't estimate their production staff's timing correctly.

People have figured out that you only lose a certain percentage of your revenue by providing marginal customer service and they have decided that its worth the loss to not have to be bothered with it. Its a business decision.

I hear ya. So, a panel on my couch was coming off. I bought it less than a year ago and got the warranty. Call them, "we'll send someone out to look at it." That took a two weeks. Then they had to order the parts. Supposed to take 2-3 weeks, which I can understand. That was Dec. 20th. FINALLY picked up my couch on Thursday. Called today and said we can deliver it tomorrow. So what was suppposed to take 4-6 weeks ended up taking almost 3 months. If they would have told me that, I would have been ready and excepted the wait time.
