It works for me. It's still one of the best cars on the road. I'm still kinda wavering between that and the Range Sport. Which one is better? |

But I'm still on the fence on this one. Caddilac Escalade or the Range Rover sport? I'm leaning towards the Caddy but... http://www.speedtv.com/_assets/libra...nge.rover1.jpg Which one? |

Very Romantic.
|
I'm not feeling it enough to want one. Maybe in person it'll look better. I usually like Escalades.
|
too big. too much gas.
|
Just gotta figure out if I really want to spend $65k on it. Either way, I will wait till GMC releases more info on the '07 Denali before making any decisions...
|
looks perfect for an out-of-town weekend
|
looks pretty freakin tight
|
At least it looks a lot better than the new Lincoln. Ford really fucked that up.

I dunno man, it looks like a nice attempt at copying it's big brother the Escalade. It's a worthy contender but I would still go with the Caddy for the luxury & looks. :pimp |

you had a tranny replaced 9 times already on an 06? and you never thought of applying the "lemon law"? that's like a new tranny every 1.5 months. i dont buy it. |
Thats one damn good car:)

I know, I think I would rather have the Caddy too (especially now that it comes in dark blue -- Blue Chip). I got on GMC.com earlier to "build" an '07 Denali but the option isn't available yet; it only lets you build a regular Yukon. I have a feeling the Denali is going to be pretty much the same exact truck as the Escalade, but for around $10k less. I have always liked the Denali's looks, but I think this year the Escalade takes the prize as best looking. :winkwink: |

The only problem I have with the Range Rover Sport is the weird-ass configurations that they require. For example, after seeing the color choices I decided that if I bought one I would want it in Vesuvius Orange. Well, the only way you can get one in this color is if you step up to the $75k limited-edition Supercharged model. Ok... fine, limited-edition color = higher price, fair enough. So next, I start looking at the options. I see that one of the options is Adaptive Cruise Control for $2,000, so I tell them to add that on. It is at this point that I am informed that Adaptive Cruise Control is not available with Vesuvius Orange; if I switch to a different color it can be added easily... but not with the limited-edition $5k orange paint... :eek7 :disgust |
Vesuvius Orange -- ! -- Fuck, I might have to go into debt to drive in that.

When you know everybody and their mother is going to have one, do you feel comfortable joining the crowd or do you go a different direction? |
Just get a black Sport like this one. :thumbsup

Depends on the vehicle. I don't think I would ever buy one of the Cadillac "pick-ups" because they are just waaaaaay too trendy. The SUVs though are a little different... I usually like the Denali because it's just as nice as the Escalade, more aggressively styled, and it makes you look classy and slightly more elegant when all of the wannabes are buying Escalades just so they can try to be cool too. However, with this version it is a different story. The 2007 Escalade has a very unique and aggressive look that the Denali now seems to be lacking. Also, when it comes to vehicles like the Escalade, I think the driver has as much to do with the image as the vehicle does (does that make sense?). Also, I have a question about NYC. I am probably going to be moving up there in the near future and I was wondering about vehicles. How easy is it to keep a vehicle (a very nice one) there if you live in say Midtown Manhattan or the Upper West Side? Do you have to park it on the street or is there secure parking in the city? How does all of that work? |
Quote:
Well, factor in about $350 to $400 a month for parking a truck. There's little to no street parking especially midtown. Also, you can expect to eat up another $200 to $400 a month in parking around the city just going out on the town. Plus, tolls are $6 every time you go to new Jersey. Gas is much more expensive in the city than every where else except LA. It's about a 30% markup on average. And you can already guess what insurance will cost. Just keep your car registered in Dallas for as long as possible. |
