Another example of why MTV should not be in the business of making movies. Its only saving grace was the performance turned in by D.J. Qualls

LOL

Funny, but I disagree though.

I thought Terrance Howard, Anthony Anderson DJ Qualls and all the hookers put in great performances for their respective roles and the script they had to work with.

Each actor had their "time to shine" and Terrance Howard had several.

The problem with the flick was that there were only GREAT MOMENTS ... it was inconsistent when it came to the actual flow of the movie.

:2 cents:

You confirmed pr0's point.

The dude did get an Oscar Nomination. I was avoiding this flick, but will probably check it out because of that.

Basic_man 03-05-2006 08:15 AM

What the fuck are you talking about ?

MikeVega 03-05-2006 11:15 AM

I watched it last week and it was OK .. not a waste of time by far but could have been better .. the hooks were OK and i think each actor held their own ..:thumbsup

Directing & Production were 2nd rate at best. Camera work scored a 3/10.

This movie was made for mass production & consumption by 11-19 year olds with a R rating sticker on the hood.

MTV should be ashamed of itself.

On the upside, maybe more cute 18yo blondes will get into hooking.

Heh heh, I still haven't seen this movie. It should be interesting to see 3-6 Mafia on the oscars stage tonight. That's so wierd it's worthy of a Twilight Zone episode.

Jman 03-05-2006 06:20 PM

Whoop that trick brotha ;-)

reynold 03-05-2006 06:57 PM

I'm still yet to see this film. I think I would watch it when it hits our town to see Howard's performance

Good fuckin song.

It was an okay movie, I'd skipped it before, but ya know, oscar buzz and whatnot, I checked it out. It had some spots that were hard to buy into but it had some fine moments. I liked the last scenes a lot, corny, yeah, seen it all before, yeah, but it kinda pulled together.

I guess the song won an oscar. Good.

reynold 03-06-2006 04:17 AM

great acceptance speech BTW
