moving away from the coast and back home to Austin cuz I'm scared of the damn hurricanes now?

Moved down here right before the summer, went through my first hurricane scare. First time I've ever had to board down windows and brace myself or try to evacuate into a huge nightmare ( i bet a lot of you remember the traffic jam on CNN in Houston)

Anyway, I'm hauling ass for more than just that reason but that is also a big part :1orglaugh

More power to you people that can handle hurricane stuff. I'm not brave enough to deal with it

seeing the collosal damage that the recent hurricanes caused, i couldn't blame anyone for being a chicken shit

I can't say I blame you. Not just out of fear but just rational. It has to be a pain to rebuild just to have it blown down again.

There are people who have lived there all of their lives that won't be going back, so you're not alone.. and probably wise in that most of the money that will be made available for the levy will be pocketed just like lots of the donations that were sent, and like other money that was pocketed instead of used for that which it was intended... N.O. is crooked from the bottom to the top...
