are you inspired by the "underdog"

maybe i dont mean underdog, but are you inspired when you hear of people's success stories of how they were on their last dime and life was pure shit, but somehow they pulled it together and turned that into the motivation of where they are today. and today they are successful either because of economic or social or spititual reasons etc...

Yes ..I am .. I started at 16 on my own and had nothing but a bag of cloths .. I bought my first home at 23. I'm still not even close to my goals in life but I've hit a few ...so when i hear about someone starting with nothing and making it even on a small level I enjoy that.

That's one of the only in-fact is the only thing i respect about Trey .. he has drive.

I would if the stories that I hear were real. Most are not.

sometimes stories like that makes me want to believe again how men are all created equal. we all have the oppurtunity to rise above.

FlogTheLog 03-05-2006 10:19 PM

i love underdog stories, i think the people who started from nothing and now live a good life are the nicest people, because they know what its like to be at the bottom.. unlike the people who were born into the money :2 cents:

I am absolutely inspired by people who are able to pick themselved up from hitting rock bottom. I know I've done it several times. Shit, I didn't have a paycheck till last week since December and I'm tellin ya, crackers with ketcup and oregano doesn't taste anything like pizza.. but I'm alive and the wait was worth it! I will always know I can do whatever I want as long as I strive to keep my integrity. And I will always end up ok.

Yes. Stories of people being able to reach the top through hardwork, persiverance, and positive outlook in life, considering that very limited resources they have will always inspire me.

Bluewire Ross 03-05-2006 10:33 PM

success is 1% inspiration and 99% hardwork.
