Need to make a open directory
 

How do i do this with htaccess? Anyone care to help?

A folder that anyone can access?

well, if you want other people to be able to say hotlink images from that directory, simply remove any .htacces files that you might have (not only from that folder but form the root as well) and that'll do the trick

if you want to give full access to that folder to anybody then CHMOD the folder to 777


lol, I'm no expert at all, but just give it a try and see if you can do whatever you're trying to do ;)

Leave off the index?

yeah, if you want to actually see the contest of that directory when you type:

http://www.YOURDOMAIN.com/DIRECTORY/

then remove index.html etc from that directory
