.tv domains - what do you guys reckon?

There is another thread running close by about .net and .org domains. I think they are fine and have worked well for me. .com is much better though.

I was wondering about .tv domains - I found a few good 6-8 letter keyword .tv domains - what do you guy's reckon?

.TV sucks. I have a couple of A+ .TV domains and they don't get any traffic on their own. You can use any domain to make a site on, but don't expect surfers to remember where you are if you use a non dot com name.

If you own Pussy.TV, the surfers will go to Pussy.com.

LOL ... ask the former owner of sex.tv why he wanted his money back ...

Thanks guys. I found gangbang.tv for $750 - guess it ain't worth it. Guess i'll have to stick to my-first-gang-bang-with-the-college football-team.com ;)

they're not too bad.. but the only reason to get one would be that the .com is already taken but isn't being used.. if someone's got bigdildosex.com so you buy bigdildosex.tv you're just helping their brand..

they're also expensive.. $50?? jesus christ... a dot com costs around $15....also they're a bitch to change name on.. if you want to change the whois info you have to send in the change details on the new "owner's" letterhead or pay $50..

so if you want to do your cool website and the perfect name is some crappy re-direct to a pop-up hell.. and you don't want to use .net.. then go ahead.. but if the dotcom's established.. and it not a killer name - sex.tv IS a killer name but he paid zillions through the initial tender process not the $50 everyone pays, in the beginning they auctioned the good ones off.. then go ahead.. otherwise i suggest you get the good 'ole overture search term tool out and shop around..
