NATS or MPA3, do either of you all have plans to incorporate a cart into the system?

I was just thinking how great it would be if the affiliate software apps had the option to incorporate stores into the mix

I look at all the big video companies that have affiliate programs running nats and mpa3 and think how great it would be if the video store on the sites also was tracked by the affiiliate software...so all link codes carried over when someone clicked on the store link on the front page

this would also be excellent for solo girl and porn star sites that have store links on their front pages, that way there wouldn't be that traffic leak, it would all be part of the affiliate revenue

I know I would make use of this feature for tabitha's toybox if mpa3 had it avilable :)

Jace 03-03-2006 06:42 PM

and yes, I know I could email nats or mpa3 personally, but I wanted to also get feedback from gfy about this.....and make it more of a conversation about the good and bad points of it all

Jace 03-03-2006 10:13 PM

hm........

i was just thinking about this today with regards to solo girl sites who sell zip sets and other stuff - so that affiliates could get credit for the extra revenue. right now it's gravy for most paysite owners tho with CCBILL i think you should be able to group the zip sets with the site so the affiliate gets a cut - bet most don't do it tho.

yeah, my site is with mpa3 though, so I fgured I would put it out there for NATS and MPA3, so if one did it the other would have to in order to compete

I know tons of affiliates who get mad when there is a store link on the tour, but if it was incorporated into the backend system, affiliates would get credit for the sales

xxxice 03-03-2006 10:44 PM

I think that is a great idea :thumbsup

artman 03-03-2006 10:53 PM

because its more beneficial to the site owners to keep the sales to themselves?

but I am a site owner, and as much as I like the money myself I also like my affiliates to be happy ;)

artman 03-03-2006 11:15 PM

plus, why would you want a cascading system on a site that sells tangibles? nobody will use a 3rd party biller for tangibles when you can easily get a merchant account for them

spunky99 03-03-2006 11:32 PM

affiliates get credit with all of our zipset sales..

um...the point isn't how easy it is to get a merchant account, the point is so that affiliate programs can offer stores that are already integrated with their existing backend...so, affiliates of the programs can get credits for the sales made through the store when they are sending hits to the paysite

as it stands right now, I have to redo our tour for affiliates to take away the store link on the page, that way their is no traffic leak, but if mpa3 had the ability to create a shopping cart in it's system, then affiliates can get credits for the sales they send from hits they send to the websites

jeez, i feel like I repeating myself here

from what I can tell, you are offering the zip sets as "5 days for $15.00"...basically, you are selling a subscription to the link to download the zip set, right?

is that done through mpa3 or nats? no.....so why post here when my thread was aimed at those two people?

Jace - MPA3 has had a shoppingcart built into it for 2 years now. It is working really well. DVD, TOYS, anything you want - works perfectly with MPA3 and fully tracked for affiliates.

Hmmmm... it just struck me that we havent promoted that well enough since you didnt know we had it already. Thanks for the heads up!

:thumbsup

Hi Jace,

NATS does not have a shopping cart built in, simply because NATS is not a shopping cart but an affiliate system and we feel that putting it all in the same app lower's both ends usefulness.

NATS does _SUPPORT_ shopping carts though, without a problem. We already have integrated plenty of shopping cart solutions and there are multiple ways of doing that depending on the application you use right now.

This way you also do not have to move all your products and your stores into the a different cart just to track affiliate sales, instead you continue using your old cart and NATS next to it.

Hi Nathan,

can you please email me some sites with carts that you have intergrated with nats.

Thanks

Jace - all you need to do to add the cart, for free, into your copy of MPA3 is to set a support ticket and we will add it for you.

Have a great weekend!

oystein, thanks dude...it actually isn't mine, but my paysite is in a program that uses mpa3, I will talk to the program owner and see if he is up for it...I am pretty sure he will be though ;)

nats seems to work with xcart.

one question....i know it seems trivial, but I will give it a shot

when someone is on mydomain.com and mpa3 is tracking them, and they click on "My Domain Store", will the affiliate codes carry over into the store?

Yes. All the way.

Our cart

We use the X-cart with NATS, and pay our affiliates for video sales whether or not they send traffic to the video site. You can see the site at www.trashypictures.com. X-cart fucking rocks as a shopping cart, since we have tried quite a few in the last six years or so that we have been selling videos. The other nice thing about the X-cart is that we can have an unlimited amount of sales, such as the one we are running now. We have all links on all tours and galleries setup to pass the affiliate's refer code to the video site, should the surfer decide he wants to buy a video instead. It was a bit of a trick to get it setup, though, NATS had to do the integration....
Jeff
