The product is worth 10 times that. It was worth paying them off. the lawyers were sucking out more.

I fucking hate bullshit business like this.

Not only that, the people I know at RIM more or less have a working workaround to get around the patent. NTP should be thankful!

Judges know nothing about patents... The patent office knows nothing about patents.. Patent trolling is big business nowadays.. Acacia knows all about that... You don't have to invent anything anymore... just buy someone's patent, or patent some idea and sit on it til someone uses it and go get em...
