alot of you guys have this fear that visa will soon stop proccessing porn altogether....
I'm just not buying it. Pornography is the ONLY reccession proof business that I know of....

If VISA was concerned about the morality issue, they would have stopped proccessing porn transactions along time ago.
If they were concerned about the high risk of fraud and chargebacks, they would have stopped proccessing porn transactions along time ago. Their in it for the money, and there is too much money in porn, even after the chargebacks and fraud.

Why bite the hand that feeds them? I personally do not think we have anything to worry about. some more restrictions will come prolly, but they will never stop proccessing 'legal' pornography, in my opinion.

Too many companies use this to TRICK and DECEIVE the customer. It's very clsoe to FRAUD.
Porn sites of the future will be a ONE time purchase, and require another purchase to continue.

Porn sites aren't the only companies that automatically rebill customers credit cards for payments.

Telephone, cable, gas, and electric companies all offer to automatically bill your credit card every month to pay your bill.

As long as the person agrees to it when they sign-up, then I believe it is totally legal.

old days when I'd get automatically rebilled each month for

I don't think SD was referring to simple auto-billing. He was talking about "secret" auto-billing. But then again, I could be wrong. You know, where it says in the disclaimer or something similar how you will be automatically billed by some other site for using the current site.

An example would be FreeNetPass. They give you the free pass to tons of porn, but then next month they charge you for the two other sites they signed you up with. At least that's what they were doing last time I looked at it.

It comes down to Chargebacks. Banks are cheap and chargebacks cost money to them in terms of customer service manhours and reputation. The amount of chargebacks on things like your phone or electric bill are SMALL, because you are continuing to recieve their service and WANT to continue to receive it.
Answer this truthfully, how many porn companies rebill people who havn't been to the site in months? When people are forced to continue to pay for something they arn''t using and they see that on their Credit Card bill they get pissed and demand a refund. This has happened too many times to the point where the credit card companies now want to end re-billing on adult sites.
