What attracts you more to a new program? Rewards or bigger rev. share?

The answer is obvious, at least to me. That's what I told a dude that icqed me today who had just purchased a small program.

What else draws you to a program?

Sites/tours that convert and retain...

Pornwolf 03-03-2006 01:15 PM

Yes, 4 year old computers in the "rewards store" really motivate me to promote.

jimthefiend 03-03-2006 01:16 PM

LOL pornwolf. I told the guy to fuck rewards, I could buy my own game console.

Kimmykim 03-03-2006 01:48 PM

I would think it was whoever paid me the most money without missing payments or bouncing checks over a specific period of time that I looked at as the ROI for my traffic.

But hey, what do I know...

most programs have competitive payouts and rewards stores nowadays.

Bigger rev share and good content or access to good content to use for promotion

WiredGuy 03-03-2006 02:16 PM

I have never once claimed a single reward from any sponsor company. That should answer the question.

i like to be able to see daily stats per campaign... also be able to sort by date range..

KrisKross 03-03-2006 02:34 PM

Rewards are fun and a nice bonus, but they've never encouraged me to promote a program. If it pays and converts, I'll promote it. I've got my own Xbox, PSP, PS2, laptop and iPod, so I have no use for another one.

first of all, it's gotta be a reputable program so you are sure you get paid, afterwards a bigger payout, conversions, etc.

RRRED 03-03-2006 04:34 PM

Content!! Tours may help conversions but the content is what will make them stay. I can't believe more programs don't URGE webmasters to view the members areas of their sites. And I can't believe more webmasters don't ask for access before even deciding to use a particular program.

I think times are changing though. People are looking past the hype and looking at their bottom lines.

- quality content, quality tours!
- decent revshare.
- different payout options...
- no traffic leaks
- free hosting (optional)
- contact info (I'm not sending traffic to some sponsor hosted in russia and with only an email address as contact info on his site)

about rewards:
higher payouts > rewards
