My hopes are high for this one. I hate Micro$oft, but Google has gotten to big.

This would be a more even fight than the whole RealVideo/Netscape anticompetitive farce MS engaged in during the late 90s. Nothing but Net, baby. It would be very interesting what kind of search technology MS comes up with. I'm not sure if it will be such a radical departure from Google's link algorithm system. If it were then it would truly be surprising. Moreover, I'd also like to know if it is as open to outside influence as Google's system.

I am rooting for them. Google has gotten lazy.

First of all microsoft sucks, in almost everyway. They just got lucky and had really good timing.... so don't get your hopes up.

Google is already building a new data-center that is going to use a new system on top of their current system to have more accurate listings and detect attempted tricks.

Look out for a new system with some major changes from Google in the near future.
