What do YOU work for..

1) Your motovation for hard work/more money is to never live poor or afraid of getting your car repossed and bills being piled up from being late (working for something you DONT want)

OR

2) Your motovation for hard work/more money is to live nice...you want the decent car and home and a nice amount $$ in the bank. (working for something you DO want)

theres two very big differences. You either work out of fear or for your goals. Which one do you work for? :)

Workin' for the goals.

GlydeGirl 03-01-2006 01:56 PM

I work for my goals & dreams. It's a bunch of hard work and I've had to drastically cut down on my lifestyle so I can put the cash towards my goals, but one day it will be worth it.

Trax 03-01-2006 01:57 PM

none of the two options

I work because I was born. Stuff costs money, and the thought of starving to death kind of sucks.
Also I don't want to be living on the street shitting in my own pants and not being able to wash them.

So I guess I work because I was born.

obviously no 2 - but for some that's $200k, for some $20 Million in the bank

Abithefiend 03-01-2006 02:38 PM

It's all about the goals for me.

fallenmuffin 03-01-2006 02:42 PM

I work so I can move out, get my own house, get my own car, pay my own way and NEVER move again.

Sadly my sister will have to put up with me living with her a bit longer.

My motivation is the thrill of seeing my efforts transform from idea to reality. The cash is just a way to keep score re how effective the solution is in solving the problems it was meant to address.

Another motivation of mine is the number of jobs my established and newer companies creates. Although I'm an American citizen and have lived in the USA for 24 years, I still have strong emotional and cultural bonds with my homeland, the Philippines. The Philippines is a poor country and part of my definition of success is how many jobs I can create for my countrymen. Real change starts one person at a time and I really try to follow Gandhi's advice of BEING the change I wish to SEE. It's not easy but I try to do it one step at a time, one new employee, one happy client at a time.

I work hard not just to survive but to have a chance to enjoy lots of things; buying the things that I want and not just the things that I need.

reynold 03-02-2006 06:25 AM

I work so as not to be a bum. It makes me feel good that everyday I am able to become as productive as I can be.
