CCbill upgrades affiliates program. But is it enough ?

Im interested to hear from webmasters to see if these upgrades are helpful or not ?

"Starting today, we are excited to announce new changes and upgrades to the REPORTS area of the Affiliate Tab. This changed reporting functionality offers new details on the Sales per Click Report (AFFILIATES>Reports>Sales per Click), and includes the following changed/new fields:

- Raw Clicks: (formerly known as ?clicks?) allows you to view the total number of times a banner or link advertisement is selected by a consumer.

- Raw Ratio: (formerly known as ?clicks?) provides the proportion of sales to raw clicks, based on your search parameters.

- Form Clicks: allows you to view the number of times consumers click on your sign up Form, based on your search parameters.

- Form Click Ratio: provides you with the ratio of sales to form clicks for the search parameter provided."

Wasnt that info there anyway and you just had to look for it?

Id hardly call that an upgrade :2 cents:

Great upgrade.

I can no longer view my stats.

Gambit 03-01-2006 11:32 AM

In fact no - what a load of crap

Instead of having the clicks on transactions report they've shunted them away to a different page. So before i could check sales/rebills/ratios all on one page, and now i have to arse about looking up these details on different pages.

Nice one CCBill thats really useful.

NO amount of upgrading is going to get the system to where it SHOULD be. The whole sub account set up needs to be better integrated into the affiliate system. As it stands, for webmasters to obtain stats on a per site basis they must signup to every sub account (pay site), that?s even if the affiliate program will allow it.

Anyway, I?m flying north and installing NATS.

corvette 03-01-2006 11:59 AM

We had made some minor changes to our affiliate system. These changes in reports were necessary in order to commence the beta testing of new click functionality that we are planning on releasing unilaterally in a month or so. Based on initial feedback, we are making the ratio information available again, that should be in there shortly, if not already.

bogo 03-01-2006 12:16 PM

i view stats for "All" affiliates and it only shows stats for affiliates that made sales...The All feature is not working?

and also, why did i receive emails today for "you have reffered a sale" that date back to October 2005?

you what?

Manowar 03-01-2006 12:55 PM

Neat....

aleck 03-01-2006 01:16 PM

liked the fact that i don't have to scroll thru 100's of proggies with some clicks and zero sales. only ones that do matter (making sales) are listed.
goody!

bdld 03-01-2006 02:17 PM

i was waiting for someone to disregard the confidential request on gfy.

BV 03-01-2006 02:22 PM

It would be nice if CCBIll would show unique clicks and not raw.

PSD 03-01-2006 03:01 PM

I liked it better when you could see the clicks on the transaction report without having to load another page. What happened to the earnings per click stat?

Apparently not having all out stats in one easy to view page isn't whats best for us.

Pandemos 03-01-2006 03:43 PM

I liked it when there were stats. All my reports are blank.

Gambit 03-01-2006 04:37 PM

I see they have attempted to fix it. But why would you not including non sale affiliates in the transactions total. Surely this should be the default option rather than having to tick a check box?

They will be showing raws, uniques and even second page. The new stats will be cool.

Kimo 03-01-2006 05:19 PM

i can no longer see my stats either

Right on. This is a problem.

Martin3 03-01-2006 06:35 PM

All you guys bitching about not being able to see clicks from sponsors without sales need to open your eyes. Unless they just added this
:upsidedow

Gambit 03-02-2006 04:25 AM

Yeah they did just add it. But why the hell isn't it the default option? Its just dumb the way it is right now.

georgeyw 03-02-2006 05:51 AM

Just want to post my dissatisfaction with the new method ccbill is employing to display stats. Not being able to see the clicks and sales on the same page is freaking annoying as hell! What a gigantic pain in the arse to look at ratios.

What genius thought this would be a good idea?

MrChips 03-02-2006 06:49 AM

Do Not Promote Sites Which Go Through Ccbill.

MrChips 03-02-2006 06:50 AM

"What genius thought this would be a good idea?"

How about a CCbill type of genius?
(whatever that is).

Steer clear of ccbill - and you dont need all this shit.

My conversions are fine on ccbill i make a LOT of money with them ;)

But they've just taken their already sucky interface. And made it worse.

pornpf69 03-02-2006 06:56 AM

I like it the way it is now...much better than before...

aico 03-02-2006 07:02 AM

I seriously doubt anything would be good enough for the lot of you. I've never seen more people who expect so much for doing so little, this whole industry is so pampered it's scary and kind of sad. Bunch of Prima Donnas around here.

justsexxx 03-02-2006 07:04 AM

I like it, also I like the fact they keep improving. I mean epoch stats are sucky and they are sucky for at least 5 years:)

Andre

rowan 03-02-2006 08:14 AM

I'm confused... the transaction screen shows 3 clicks, but "Get clicks report" shows a more correct figure (ie: in the thousands). Stats for yesterday are similarly weird. Are they only counting clicks that generate sales or something? :1orglaugh

AmateurFlix 03-02-2006 01:43 PM

mine's really screwed up too; it's showing only 968 hits for the day so far, then when I check 'include affiliate without sales' it only displays 4365. that figure should be about 2-3X as much for this time of day and my traffic hasn't dropped, so I guess cbbill isn't counting all the hits :(

Our hits are only about 1/3 of what they normally are as well. Same with sales!

Anyone else having this prob?

corvette 03-02-2006 02:18 PM

Guys, we are working on a tremendous upgrade to our affiliate system, we are setting up the infrastructure for the features that have been planned for some time now. We understand that there may be some minor temporary issues with reporting and so forth and we have a team in place that is doing nothing but working on this. We are monitoring this thread (we may contact some of the people in this thread, if you are able to help, thank you in advance), as well as others, we are getting feedback from the people beta-testing the system, if you guys want to contact us about it, email me and ill get your issue/concern over to the right people ([email protected])

This is a very big change and you guys will be VERY pleased to see all of the new features and functionality. We are obviously proceeding with caution and extreme prudence, as anyone should when you deal with a system containing with millions of affiliates and corresponding data. Any and all feedback will be appreciated and considered. Thank you in advance for this consideration.

My clicks are down by at least a half - and so are my sales :(

Lace 03-02-2006 05:22 PM

My stats havent been working the past few days now... This is getting rediculous.

wyldblyss 03-02-2006 05:34 PM

I'm patient...looking forward to seeing what all the upgrades will do :)

dude, if you read closer I think you will see that some of the main complaints are from the interface, not it's features

fact is ccbill has a horrible interface, and THAT is what needs to be worked on...everything needed for a good stats backend is there, the interface is what makes it such a pain in the ass though

I would hope that you are adding the ability for affiliates to see where our clicks are coming from. I could care less about bells and whistles, but it makes it imposable to fine tune traffic and sales with out having the breakdown of where our sales are coming from.

I could only hope you guys are adding these kind of basic features..I would hope that you might offer the same kinda of tracking ability as programs like NATS offer. That and the ability to set up campaigns would be great.

Would also help if we could get to any pages within two to threes clicks.. CCBills navigation and the admin areas slowness make me dread logging in.

Don't that what I say in the wrong manor, as I'm only trying to offer some constrictive criticism. I just really think a billing processer such as ccbill should offer a bit more than plane jane stats.

I'll second that. For me, use of CCBill has become a big negative factor when deciding whether to test a new sponsor, due to the difficulty of seeing which traffic resulted in which sales.

Nooo! I've just gotten over the last change (including the necessary "lets show some bling while you wait for stats to load") and become used to the current interface! :winkwink:

haha, yeah, we ALL have gotten used to it, that doesn't mean it is good though

I have also gotten used to shitting diarreah every day throughout my life because of irritable bowel syndrome, but if I had the chance to take a pill and get rid of it, i would ;)

DigitalPimp 03-02-2006 11:29 PM

I hope one of the coming affiliate enhancements is email notification of when a webmaster has changed the payout terms. Having to periodically check programs for changes is a real pain.

PussyTeenies 03-03-2006 12:31 AM

great update
now i need to tick a new box to see todays stats

PussyTeenies 03-03-2006 12:31 AM

(sarcasm)

prairie 03-03-2006 01:48 AM

Ok its great that ccbill is upgrading thier shit and everything but could it not go live untill all the bugs are worked out?? Right now my stats say "There are no items to display in the current view" and that is not acceptable whatsoever.

Violetta 03-03-2006 04:09 AM

interesting...
