Online Stock Trading - Who Do You Use and Why?

I've been buying and selling my stocks the old fashioned way through my broker of 10 years. Well, he is retiring and I don't want another person, I want to open an online account with an online trading company.

Who is good? Why? Can anyone please share their input here.

$7 flat fee per trade... $7 to buy.. $7 to sell.

Unless you buy shares valued under $1 then they take an additional 2.5% of the total value i think, dont really play the pennies much so dont know if that is 100% or not.

Lee

See, I do play penny stocks so who would you recommend for something like that?

I was looking at their site. They seem to charge on the basis of how many shares you buy. Do they have a charge for penny stocks?

etrade seems the way to go
