Who at CCbill knows about NATS?

I can not get anyone on the phone at ccbill that has even heard of NATS. Seems pretty unreal to me, but that is the case tonight. :helpme

I need to speak to someone at ccbill regarding my old links that I want to keep using (directed to ccbill) as I transfer over to NATS with new links. That way my affiliates don't have to change 1000's of old links.

Any idea who to speak to there?

Thanks.

do they think you're talking about gnats?

Trixxxia 02-27-2006 09:11 PM

I'd hit up corvette - he'll find who it is. He's the most reliable source I have there.

DWB,

Your probably not going to find much help there. There isn't anyway that I know of to transfer the CCBill links into NATS, but you can just keep the CCBill affiliate program open and do not accept new affiliates to it.

This way you still payout through CCBill on all of your old links to your affiliates until they switch over and all new affiliates will only use the NATS links.

I've been on NATS for over a year, and still get tons of sales off my old CCBill link codes from affiliates who put them up and forgot them on the web somewhere. (Thanks DH :thumbsup !)

CCBill will also continue to pay the affiliates for those sales off the old link codes as well.

Your default ccbill affiliate links will/should always work, but you'll probably want to go into your ccbill admin and change the redirect url and make/upload a new tour for it with the standard ccbill signup buttons. Pretty sure if you send them to your nats tour their codes are not going to work/track.

We don't use nats but this is how it works with our own script.

Notice each has their own url.

That's what I was thinking... sort of, but wanted to see if it would work.

I was thinking having 2 members pages, one for all the old links and people who don't want to use NATS... and another for the new NATS links. But the question I had was, does it have to be 2 pages, or can I direct them both to one?

DWB 02-27-2006 09:31 PM

Forgot to add... I would set the new account up on a new sub account. If that would work.

DWB, it's a competing product in a way, so CCBill Tech. won't support it very much. Best bet is the dual-tour idea, your affiliates will thank you later. :)

edit - tour setup, you could just make a new folder (/tour) and put your NATS tour page in that folder. Keeps it all seperate and clean.

No, you can send to the same tour. Both NATS and CCBill use a cookie to track sales. If they go through the CCBill link code it will be tracked with CCBill, if it goes through the NATS link code it will be tracked with NATS.

So make 2 tours, going to 2 members areas? Yes, I'm wanting to keep my current affiliates happy, this is why I want to do it.

No reason to setup a new account with CCBill either, you can do that, but I found it to be more of a hassle than it was worth.

Like I said above, you will need 2

I'm getting confused now. lol

OK... so your saying it WILL work with 1 tour, 1 members area, and the cookie will determine which gets the sale?

I agree, a second sub-account is too much of a pain.

No, 2 tours, and direct your NATS install to the exhisting MA you already have.

this aint rocket science people, lol

newbreed 02-27-2006 09:45 PM

http://www.arikaames.com/ - CCBill tour

http://www.arikaames.com/tour/ - NATS tour.

Both use the same sub-account at CCBill
Both share the same member's area

Only difference is incoming link tracking.
