How Many Computers
 

Do you work from, i have one at the moment, but i am finding out more and more everyday that i am needing a second one to work on also. How many of you work from two here.

Just one, but a laptop would definitely come in handy.

5 at the moment.

I work from 4 counting my office server.

usually 4 or 5 -
comes in handy for rendering across network

since im travelling a lot right now - just one

Napolean and I have 15 combined but only use about 3, not including remote servers.

3 and 2 remote servers.

I have 2 desktops (one for surfing and general computing and one for graphics) and a laptop :thumbsup

Well i have a PC that I never turn on as well so that doesn't count.

2, desktop (brand new alienware) and a cheap laptop

I have a different one for each day of the year.

So 4 currently, but have 2 more 2800 athon systems sitting around not being used.

Regarding your blog, I like it, but I think you have a typo. It should read : The Adventures Of "An" Australian Photographer. I could be wrong though. Maybe it should be A Australian. Not being an aussie, I'm unsure.

I have 8 stations set up as well as an empty station for repairs and a lap top on wireless.

1 station I work on during the day. Another checks email and has all my contact programs open (ICQ, AIM etc.) and another runs all my stock streamers, finance accounts etc. The rest sit idle.

3 pc's and one lappy :thumbsup

5 at the office, 1 at home, 6 dedicated servers (I actually don't use most of them for hosting, I'm using them as high speed internet connections with CPU power). And I'm actually shy on resources so I'm probably gonna pick up another box or two soon.

Honestly I have 5 PC's I work with 3 others are in the house for other people 2 servers/hosts I can use.

We are now down to 4 between the two of us. But I used to have 5 just for me.

1 desktop and a laptop when I do my work outdoor.

1 main desktop mini shuttle server, 1 main laptop i do everything on, 1 bathroom laptop. yes i work in the bathroom hehe remote desktop into my other computers. 1 mini sony travel laptop also used to process data and travel with.

4 as of right now, looking to get a 5th mini shuttle box to use as a central backup for all laptops.

Just from home, and NOT including the office...

Primary Desktop, 3.0GHz P4
Secondary Desktop, Dual 933MHz P3
Laptop, 2GHz Celeron
Home Server, Quad Zeon 550MHz, 2GB ECC RAM, 9 Fast-SCSI drives
2 Dedicated Servers, and another soon online.

And enough parts and pieces to probably build up another 3 or so computers. :winkwink:

I use 4 on a daily basis, sometimes five.

Using directly: one desktop, one laptop
Indirectly (logging in via SSH): 2 servers at home, 4 in USA data centres

So I guess that means I own 4 and lease 4. :)

desktop.. amd x2 4600+ with a 30" dell and a 24" dell and then the 17" dell laptop on the side for "other" programs/things.

I've got 33 plus 1 laptop at home and 6 remote servers. But I really only work from 1 most of the time.
