If you've had a divorce twice, it's your fault.

Inspired by KRL's comment in the 'what does a wedding cost' thread, I say this: if you've been divorced twice, it's your fault. You're simply inadept to interhuman communication, maintaining a relationship, picking up signals, whatever.

Don't blame wives.

xclusive 02-27-2006 12:32 PM

Sometime people change both men and women so it's not always the guys fault sometimes shit just happens.

Twice? Makes it highly unlikely. One with good insight in himself and others can see things coming.

Yeah like a man has ever been able to predict what a woman will do lol

EroticySteve 02-27-2006 12:37 PM

There are lots of things that challenge commitment, that's a sad fact of the state of marriage these days.

G-Rotica 02-27-2006 12:40 PM

Been with the same woman going on 21 years. Cheaper to keep her.

sweetME 02-27-2006 12:44 PM

I know someone (girl) that got divorced three times and all three times weren't her fault. The first one was a jerk and cheated on her. The second one was an idiot and stole lots of money from her dad in business. And the third one was a moron and all he wanted to do is drink beer, sit on the couch the whole day and play a game on his xbox, demended and got a corvett, nice suits, rolex watch, etc., so she divorced his ass too.
What do you say to that???

slipfitter 02-27-2006 12:46 PM

i say she's got a problem picking men and it validates the initial post.

I am always on the look out for a future ex.

baddog 02-27-2006 02:01 PM

He is right, you should have stopped after the first.

Martin3 02-27-2006 02:07 PM

Nothing about marrage has changed. It's the people these days. Everyone is to needy and greedy. Both men and women, get married to people they shouldn't out of need and fuck it up over greed.

You guys are crazy...that's not right to a very nice, hardworking, kind girl.

Trust me, your POV and the guy that is living with/married to her are going to be two entirely different perspectives.

That wasn't her fault??? Am I missing something here?

GFX Wiz 02-27-2006 04:24 PM

Extremely happily divorced here...for the third time :thumbsup

First was my high-school sweetheart...we grew in opposite directions as we matured...married WAY too young. But it is our son's 15th birthday today!

Second marriage shouldn't count...I terminated it after 8 days.

Third one...everyone sooner or later in life will come across a REALLY good scam artist. I fell for her hook, line and sinker. I woke up, divorced her and got custody of our son (he's 3 and a half now).

I will never marry again, no matter what.

Well, if you've had 2+ failed marriages... the common denominator would be you!

If you're ex was married before also, that means you both were divorced twice.

the word marriage doesn't mean much nowadays....

At least lawyers are making a killing on it, so it does end up helping (some) people :thumbsup

Yep, and still love her lots.

We get along way better not being married than married though. :upsidedow

adultchica 02-27-2006 08:18 PM

Being married is all about going through the good AND THE BAD and still loving eachother and sticking through it all. Have been through a lot of hell with my husband and been jobless and broke and had deaths in the family and lost a lot of things important to us, but we love eachother EVEN MORE for it

What really adds to this equation is BOTH PEOPLE have to love eachother a lot and WILLING TO STICK through the good AND THE BAD times. It's rare to find someone willing to go through some of the most terrible times in life with you and come through it stronger and more loving than before :2 cents:

I got lucky and so did my husband :thumbsup
