I was in an IRC room of other webmasters and someone told me about some goofy new site with a crazy name offering up a t-shirt if you posted a few times, bla bla bla, so I came over and looked, but didn't start posting till years later.

Amazing what the power of a name, some schwag & a few wild personalities can do for a piece of interweb property.

I was always known by friends for telling people to go fuck themselves, so one day I decided to see if the domain name was available (to buy it for my own personal site). It was already registered so I decided to type in gofuckyourself.com and see what was there as I was planning on buying it from the owner (this was before gfy was huge). I thought the board was amusing so I decided to stick around. After being absent for a few years I decided to return (since we were getting into the industry anyway) and the rest is history.
