I'm happy this group won $365 million

These are the type of people I like to see win the powerball. Hopefully they won't have bad luck now like many lottery winners.

I was pissed when Jack Whittaker won $300+ million on Christmas a few years back. He was already very wealthy, had scores of employees and said he would use the money to donate some to the church and buy a helicopter. His luck in the public eye has sucked ass ever since tho... haha. His granddaughter (the one from the televised lottery check presentaion ceremony) was recently found dead.

Dirty F 02-25-2006 02:25 PM

Spunky 02-25-2006 02:28 PM

I didn't know who Jack was so I did a search:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Wh...lottery_winner)

According to this he was worth $1 million before winning.

He's made some bad choices though since.

GiveIntoMe 02-25-2006 06:25 PM

if I won the money none of you lot would get any, I would be a jew motherfucker :)

They arent very bright to take the cash option. Taking the payments is always, always, always smarter. No reason why anyone would need more than a million bucks a year in income. I'm sorry, if you cant figure it out, then you're too stupid to have money.

But yes, I am more glad to see them hit it than the last guy who hit a record jackpot, he was already worth like $7 million and owned his own construction company.

Another jackass that doesn't understand the time value of money...

You're probably the same kind of dope that jumps up and down over a tax refund after lending the government YOUR money interest free for up to a year.

adultchica 02-25-2006 07:22 PM

Yep I'm glad they won as well, it's nice to see some hard working blue collar people hit the lottery

I remember when that moron won. That sucked big time! I am so happy that the people that won now were poor, or at least average human beings.

hmmm, let's see. 365 mil invested for 30 years at 12.5% average return... huh, 6.9 BILLION dollars. Or, get 365 million over 30 years.

No brainer.

Resign papers are already sent I bet :upsidedow

pornguy 02-26-2006 10:10 AM

the reason that they make bad choices, is that they dont know hot to manage the money, and they think that they have enough to live forever. At they way they live now, they would be right. But buying cars and houses and sirplanes for everyone that you know will change that fast. Especially come tax season.

Rui 02-26-2006 11:05 AM

I bet all of them will endup broke sooner or later, I bet they will have fun while it lasts tho ;)

lost recap

It's from the ABC television show, LOST

The guy in the picture, Hurley, Won the lotto.

Hurley is sitting on the sofa in his mother's house, eating from a bucket of chicken that bears the same logo as his work shirt. His mother chides him about going out and trying to find a nice woman, but Hurley is paying attention to the Mega -Lotto drawing on television. As the winning numbers are called out we can hardly believe our eyes. 4,8,15,16,23 and the mega number?42. Hurley checks his ticket, sees that it is an exact match?and promptly faints, smashing the coffee table beneath him.

Hurley actually kept his winning lottery news from his best friend, fearing that everything would change. He quits his job and embarks on a journey to enjoy all the little things he loves best in his life. He acts as if nothing has happened and enjoys the freedom he knows will be lost once he comes clean about his newfound wealth. He asks his best friend to promise that no matter what happens, their relationship will never change.

When Hurley does reveal that he's won, reporters and cameras fight for space as Hurley is bombarded with questions about how he chose the winning numbers. "They just sort of came to me," he says. And as he is introducing his family -- his mother, his brother and sister-in-law, and his beloved grandfather, "Tito." In fact, he says, the first thing he wants to do with his money is take his grandfather on a much deserved vacation. But even as Hurley continues to lay out his happy plans, something horrible happens?Tito collapses in the background and falls dead of a heart attack -- right then and there.

We see Hurley behind the wheel of a Hummer. The Lotto money has arrived. His mother sits in the passenger seat as the car winds through an upscale neighborhood. Hurley asks his mother if she has noticed how badly things have gone for them lately: His grandfather's death, the priest being struck by lightning at the funeral, his brother, Diego's ruined marriage -- it's as if the money is, well?cursed. Hurley's mother smacks him in the arm. They are Catholic, that is blasphemous. Besides, they both know there are no such things as curses. Maybe she's right. No, of COURSE she's right. Hurley makes his mother put on a blindfold, he has a surprise for her.

And they arrive at a brand new mansion, a gift from Hurley to his mother. But as he leads his mother out of the car, she trips on the curb and falls, breaking her ankle. And wait, what is that smell? Is that smoke? Hurley turns around to find his new home is on fire -- and before he can dial 911, the police arrive, guns drawn, and roughly place Hurley under arrest. No such thing as curses, huh?

Ace_luffy 02-27-2006 11:54 PM

congrats....spend it in a nice way..:)

reynold 02-28-2006 01:54 AM
