Click on add bookmark. Put in the link, title, description, and then tags that describe it like if it's a gallery of a hot girl with nice tits put sexy,babe,tits,boobs,gallery, and click submit. It's pretty extensible, and I've got some more features coming including a Firefox extension. :)

public or shared?

If you make them public everyone can see them, which is the point of social bookmarking. :) Then if you see a link somewhere on the site that you like, you can click copy and it adds the link to your list. :)
