The owner of my hosting company told me about this company.
www.zonelabs.com Been using them about 6 months now and am 100% satisfied. Norton used to give me alot of issues but Zonelabs has not given me a single one. Everything runs like it should. :2 cents: |
ty for the replies... i'm going to give zone alarm suite a try....

much better... so far i like it... and my computer boots up 100% faster...

i recommend anyone using norton to give this a try... norton was a big bulk of crap compared to it...

Use nod32 + Kerio Firewall
|
Outpost!
|
ISS BlackIce Defender + Nod32.

Lol are webmasters still using Norton
I would say go for Kaspersky AV and outpost firewall(software) of course a hardware firewall solution is better... |
Im hate to say it but MS have cracked this one as well...
Windows OncCare - Virus scanner - firewall - and lots of other stuff Free for a while - it is for US only but you can just use a proxy to get it. |

Try NOD32 & Adaware pro (adwatch)?

norton anti-virus works fine for me. Always has.
As far as a firewall goes, don't most people use some sort of router with a built in firewall (port blocking, nat etc) these days? I know all the broadband providers around here have them. For spyware, I use firefox for all web activity and have the MS Antispyware deal installed. No problems whatsoever. |
|
I had minor problems with norton on my old computer.
But on my new computer Norton came pre-installed and I haven't had any problems at all with it. |
Forget Norton... use NOD32 and Zonealarm (the free one)
Buy NOD32 for a couple of years, saves you money and headaches :winkwink: |
Ad-Aware Pro has done me well. For firewall, I use BlackIce Defender and it isnt bad but there are so many who knows. Hardware is the best for firewall, I'm just too cheap.
|
kapersky.com. couldn't believe all it caught that norton didn't.
|
Most people know not to use those fucking Norton programs... They are the worst. For virus use free.grisoft.com

I used Norton Internet Security for a couple of years, but got tired of it because it let a few things get through to my computer so I switched to McAfee's internet security and it seemed to be fine at first, but then for some strange reason, one day, after it updated itself, it REALLY made my computer crawl on bootup, I'd have to wait like a minute after windows fully loaded to click on anything. After I ended up uninstalling the program and it worked like a charm, so I said fuck McAfee and went to the latest version of Norton Internet Security and I love it, if you didn't have the 2006 version, perhaps you should get a copy, I bought my first copy locally for $69 at Office Max because Wal-Mart was sold out ($59 was their price). I did go to Ebay and pick up an OEM version for $25 which is a lot cheaper than the $59-$69 that you pay in stores.
