Google Adsense - Make More

If you can turn a buck in adsense codes being on your site. Here's a way you can make even more.

DROP IT ALTOGETHER.

Have a Forum or Other Site, popping off Google ads 20,000 times per day?
Do you Have these types of results?
17,534 17 0.1% $0.06 $1.08

Your wasting good money... If you are getting google adsense clicks and
not happy wiht results, you can make more by placing any other ad on the page, And I have spent the last 5 months testing this. The fact is, google ads are too targetted, making them absolutely worthless, my forums are about expired domains, and every ad is a registrar ad or other related ad, noone clicks that crap. They know what's what.

I was so pissed with what they paid, that I just decided to make up a small store, and put some items in it... I made it very cheap and added some Amazon direct links in there and called it a DVD store, and replaced the google adcode with my DVD store link.

Total items shipped 66 this month so far
Referral Rate (Increase this to 5.75% by referring 25 more items) 5.25%
Referral Fees $222.79

Why are you Branding GOOGLE for pieces of pennies 20,000 times per day? It's ludicrous, they would not do it for you! They pay you shit, and you make them richer, thats just bad business! You're probably also promoting your competitors for squat!

What I Sold Yesterday!

Rent (Widescreen 2-Disc Special Edition) Amazon.com $15.98 7.76% 1 $15.98
$1.24 Commission

The Princess Diaries 2 - Royal Engagement (Full Screen Edition) Amazon.com $13.99 7.72% 1 $13.99 $1.08

$1.08 Commission

Electronics
Samsung SLB-1137 Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Battery & Charger Kit for Digimax U-CA 3, U-CA 4, U-CA 505, U-CA 5, V600, and V700 Cameras Third Party $69.99 6.74% 1 $69.99

$4.72 commission.

I have gone from a dollar a day to $7 a day, and that is not average, I am averaging $9 a day, using Amazon, which hardly pays any money! and the links are pretty blind, not only that, but I have room for 3 more ads!

Branding these corporations for lint is not getting you anywhere. Your sacrificing the look and function of your site, Your doing more things like placing codes in your forum posts to get more nickels, and pissing off your current base... they are getting away with it for basically free.... DONT DO IT!
You only do it because its easy, and is a pipe dream. Only for them who have conned their way onto your page for free

I've never understood why 90% of commercial sites use AdSense - why send your surfers to the one click that pays you the least?

I know many people have argued they can make income on certain kinds of sites, fair enough, but for most it just doesn't make sense.

Many networks are quite strict when it comes to allow new sites...

plus adsense is targetted by default which makes it easy to maxize your income (in most cases)

teksonline 02-23-2006 05:15 PM

"targetted by default", its the last place I want to be as an advertiser, and as someone displaying ads, they finally are realizing their mistakes and came up with the Advertise on this site feature, but I don't think that's enuff to keep it running because you wont get displayed without paying up the kazoo, where it will be pointless to even bother.

PPC is nothing more than a fad, when the cows get milked the grass will be greener, but only on Google's side of the fence

Teks.. if you don't mind me asking.. maybe icq me even.. about your expired domain forum ? Thanks!

No man, that is GOOD business. they are not an affiliates company they are in the business of making money for themselves NOT in the business of making you money. You are not working with them you are working FOR them.

You woke up and decided you were not going to make them money, that is great!

jrap 02-23-2006 05:42 PM

I like the simplicity of adsense. I don't have to continue looking for different affiliate programs to promote, making sure they don't scam me, making sure they convert.

I stick the adsense code on my various sites, and at the end of the month I get a check for ~$5000. Can't be any simpler then that.

The Other Steve 02-23-2006 05:47 PM

I recently saw a mainstream webmaster refer to Google Adsense as Webmaster welfare

He was so right!

and the 'advertise on this site' link doesn't really offer prospective advertisers the chance to advertise on that particular site - all it does is to encourage the advertiser to get involved in Adwords and then their ad may perhaps appear on that website.

jrap 02-23-2006 05:50 PM

The Other Steve, actually you can create a site-targeted campaign.

Thanks for setting me straight - I looked when they first brought that out and didn't see that option :)

4Pics 02-23-2006 06:26 PM

I do well with google adsense.

Roper69 02-23-2006 06:32 PM

Thanks - this post is GREAT!

Does anyone have any other alternatives to AdSense? I am looking for ways to actually sell direct ads on my site without the Google lack of control.

Yes this is good feature, the problem is it's worthless, because the only place you can sell ads in on your competitors sites, or you won't get displays.
unless of course your pating $5 a click

teksonline 02-23-2006 06:37 PM

roper69, seek adbrite, but quite frankly i was displeased with the service I received. Again overpriced worthless place text links (that have no serp value) and are not text links but text ads

Basic_man 02-23-2006 06:37 PM

Why posting your secrets publicly? :)

teksonline 02-23-2006 06:50 PM

not really a secret, I do have my share of trade secrets, if your interested in branding your mainstream sites icq me 48721721

I finished my latest project and seeking employment while my own automated branding takes effect.

Very possible I can do adult as well, just would take more captial and added risk because of that, but long term high traffic seekers should contact me

Roper69 02-23-2006 06:55 PM

Thanks teksonline! I appreciate any ideas that can help. I don't think AVNAds is a trade secret, but I would love to chat about some ideas I am working on. Teksonline - if you would be interested in helping for a PT project maybe we can work together... Send me an email if you might have some time.

Thanks!

Rui 02-24-2006 04:02 AM

So let me see if i understood what you said:

- Google Adsense and Adbrite suck because they pay little (...it actualy depends) and most of the times you are promoting your competition

you then proceed to flood your traffic with untargetted offerings?

...

sorry but it doesn't really add up...

kuthi123 02-24-2006 04:39 AM

amazon ctr is very low comparing to adsense.i am earnening 300$ on one crap site it shows amazon banners also but without any sales from amazon.

ssp 02-24-2006 04:53 AM
