you sponsors should add this feature to your Affiliate programs

One thing i Have is about 1000 old sites from 1997-2003 that get lots of traffic but left in the dust, with no time to update em. I figured i'd hire a
partner of some sort if he wanted to go in and fix em up update banners
and whatnot and take home 50% of the loot.

The problem is the lack of trust, noone going to trust me to do that
If I give him full access to affiliate program, then I can risk him changing the code and address and taking home all the cash..

So if you would add access levels to your affiliate stats area, he can see
how much he earns and continue updating sites and getting rich

Just food for thought...

Yupp yupp, not a bad idea at all, and not very hard to implement.

or he can signup to an affiliate program himself and change the linking codes...

Rex 02-23-2006 04:06 AM

Same situation here -- shitloads of sites that need updating yet I don't trust anyone to log in

Why do you trust he does use your linkingcode? He can also use his own NATS code on YOUR pages...

Guys hit me up... we have something for you.

that would make me have to trust him, and he'd have to send me the money. fat chance lol

they could, but you also know how much traffic you get daily, and going to a page and looking at stuff is a lot easier than udpating them

You have a very good point. A user administration feature would be good in general. Companies could give certain employees limited access while get full access. I am surprised that MPA3 or NATS donhahaha8217;t have this feature. I am unsure however, if the demand for such a feature is as high as I think.

If I'm reading it correctly, NATS already has that feature, it's called "Entities"..

We use it, as we have partners in one site, but not others, and they only need to see the stats and members fo rthat one site, not for all of the sites in our network...

NATS also allows for different levels of access for different reps. You can block access to even minute sections of a page with a few lines of smarty code.

Manowar 02-23-2006 08:42 AM

hard to trust people on deals like that

Ah okay. So they do already have it. Good stuff... Thanks for the info.

At Adult Players Club we dont necessarily have access levels but we do not allow account changes to be made from the webmaster admin. You have to email support and they check to make sure that the email comes from the email on file for this reason.

I was in the same position as you are. I found a company that would do everything for me for a percentage and I didn't have to give them login acess to the sponsors for a percentage. I just send them a screencap and that is just fine with them. Hit Lee up on ICQ 104726750 Completely professional, wonderful group of people :)

not a bad idea..might take some programming time though

Tom_PM 02-23-2006 02:56 PM

I tend to download 100% of available promo from a sponsor to start with, then organize my folders really well so that updating on my end is simple as pressing a button pretty much.

Hard to go BACK and set that up after the fact, but good to organize and plan for things well ahead. Then you only have to download any new promo and upload it.

stickyfingerz 02-23-2006 02:58 PM

Id take that deal and trust you. If you need it done let me know. :thumbsup

MPA3 has a standard feature that allows for sub-owners to own and control their own sites within the same program. It is a neat feature and it allows for just what you are asking for here.

:2 cents: :thumbsup
