You and I normally have different tastes in art, but I like all but the 3rd one.

Now you're going to say you don't, lol ;)

corvette 02-22-2006 11:14 PM

I like the 3rd one very much, but these are not just the ones i like best, but ones that i think give a representation of the artists style without being too easy to guess :)

if you want to know what i really like right now, click here, its a high resolution picture, currently my home desktop

The first one is Kandinsky. Not Black Lines, but similar.

Mutt 02-23-2006 12:55 AM

sonofsam did the second one - the bowl of fruit. no clue who did the others.

WiredGuy 02-23-2006 12:58 AM

Holly is right, first piece is Kandinsky, Improvisation 26.

I prefer something a little more busy/vibrant myself like this one:

I think that's Lichtenstein, too. But I've heard sonofsam is his "artsy painter" name.

reynold 02-23-2006 02:21 AM

reed_4 02-23-2006 03:54 AM

If we move in together we will need to have separate parts of the house for each other's artwork :thumbsup

I prefer something that makes you question your current state of consciousness.

Those two paintings are quite similar to some of Pablo Piccasso's abstract masterpieces. :winkwink:

Folkart. What can I say, I'm a dyed in the wool redneck :) Actually, my parental and grandparental units would pass out if they saw what I like - I supposedly come from decent taste, I just decided not to inherit it. :thumbsup

I have a lot of Howard Finsters in my house:

http://www.finster.com/

Now that he's passed away, most of the stuff on the site is by relatives of his. I like his original stuff better. I have a handful of prints, some wood cutouts and a painted glass. I love the bright colors and the simplicity :)

Peaches 02-24-2006 10:16 PM

BTW, I got your email about the forum book - It's on my "weekend" list :)

Peaches 02-24-2006 10:32 PM

Dammit, now I'm finding all kinds of stuff I want to buy on the site *I* posted...I haven't been there in a while.... :(

Juilan 02-24-2006 10:39 PM
