You and I normally have different tastes in art, but I like all but the 3rd one.

Now you're going to say you don't, lol ;)

I like the 3rd one very much, but these are not just the ones i like best, but ones that i think give a representation of the artists style without being too easy to guess :)

The first one is Kandinsky. Not Black Lines, but similar.

sonofsam did the second one - the bowl of fruit. no clue who did the others.

Holly is right, first piece is Kandinsky, Improvisation 26.

I think that's Lichtenstein, too. But I've heard sonofsam is his "artsy painter" name.

Those two paintings are quite similar to some of Pablo Piccasso's abstract masterpieces. :winkwink:

Folkart. What can I say, I'm a dyed in the wool redneck :) Actually, my parental and grandparental units would pass out if they saw what I like - I supposedly come from decent taste, I just decided not to inherit it. :thumbsup

Now that he's passed away, most of the stuff on the site is by relatives of his. I like his original stuff better. I have a handful of prints, some wood cutouts and a painted glass. I love the bright colors and the simplicity :)

its interesting stuff, i wont tell you what my first reaction was but after you look at it for a while it has a certain style and character all to its own and the colors are strong
