Attention: Indiana webmasters
 

I am thinking of flying out to Indiana in the beginning of April. How many of you would be interested in a little get together out there?

We are thinking of maybe a country style get together in Wheatfield.

Anyone interested?

FYI, Wheatfield is only about 2 hours from Chicago for those of you in the general area.

I grew up in Lake Station and Portage area.

how far is Wheatfield from NYC?

I live way south of there. A little town called chatsworth which is about 45 min south of kankakee. Grew up in this area. Pretty much lived here all my life. Oh I live in Illinois.

I'm in Indiana but I've never heard of Wheatfield. Why are you going there?

Plus it is goodgirl's birthday, so I thought for a present this year I would take her out to dinner.

I'm game. You should centralize a little and do it in Indianapolis.

I'm in southern IN, and not sure I could get away to come that far north.

Hell, I haven't made it to meet Jim yet, and he lives 25 miles away.

grew up in Indiana.........never heard of Wheatfield, Wheatbread, Wheaties, Indiana.

it must be near Kokomo or Muncie.

Municipal Code for the Parks:

Sec. 631-114. Fires.
It shall be unlawful for any person, not an employee of the department of parks and recreation, to build, kindle or ignite a fire for cooking, heat or any other purpose in any park, playground or on any property controlled or leased by the department, or on which a concession has been granted by it, or on any other property under the control or supervision of the board of parks and recreation, except as allowed for any such purposes in accordance with such regulations as the board shall establish regulating the use of outdoor ovens at any designated place or other such uses in certain areas.


I think that means no.

... but the State also lists a program for use of firewood to stop the spread of the Emerald Ash Borer (a Beetle). So, I don't know if that means there are some parks that do allow it. ???
