Is 404 traffic totally worthless?
 

I just checked an old 404 pages stats and I did 0:6,638
I was just floored, not 1 dime with all of those clicks

I just put up a filter page with dynamic webcam ads, so they change out after a while to different models on their own, and not 1 sale.

Is there something I can put on the page to at least make *Something* on it?

thats a good idea, but I cant send the surfers to popup hell because if a reviewer got it accidentally there would popups then they'll think I'm a cheater or something and blacklist me

Maybe send the 404 traffic to a page, that has a few links on it to other pages you have, that way on the other pages if people click it'll be worth something.

Or contact Ravo and sell him the traffic and he'll weed out the good shit you have.

I've got several thousand 404 uniques per day doing nothing that I wouldn't mind making a few sales off of, so okay :winkwink:

those are 404s from missing pages, people doing some creative browsing/directory guessing,... or also from missing images,...? :)

You need to create a script that can deduce what the surfer was trying to reach that gave them the 404 and then dynamically produce ads specific to their wants.

And never make your 404 page look like a 404 page.

it depends how much of it you have, if it's 6k so far this month, I wouldn't even bother doing anything... If it's per day, you may be able to sell it for a few bucks a day...
