China now has the world's second-largest Internet population
Thats a huge market virtually untapped.
Nice..
More surfers - more money! |
yeah, but I've read stuff before about the Chinese government requiring ISPs in China to block certain websites like porn and stuff about capitalism
More surfers with no money and limited access to the net! Yee Haaaa
That would really suck ass if there are no credit cards in China....just imagine all the fucking freeloaders!
So it means credit card frauds and cheating will be occured often on the net! :BangBang:
I just checked the Visa website and it seems like Visa has cards in China, so thats a relief. Although, I doubt much of the population have credit cards.
chinese traffic is about worthless. boink'em
Considering the state of most of China's populace, it would only make sense that the people that have internet at home, have credit cards. Didn't I read just a few days ago that AOL is entering that market, and that MSN was waiting in the sidelines to see if they should jump too?
Anyone know where I can get a html editor for Chinese? |
I think that's terrible news. A shitload of pretty much useless traffic. There's a good reason programs like join4free don't accept traffic from china, and many other countries.
They burn your bandwidth, and they won't make you anywhere near as much money! |

Hate to burst your bubble guys, I spent 6 months of 2001 in China, mainly Shen Zhen. Credit cards are VERY rare. Only places that accept them are tourist hotels and the Bank of China. It's not uncommon to walk around with 20,000 Remninbi in your pocket. ATM are still rare too! They put the ATMs inside the banks and you can only access them during banking hours. DSL access is great and they installed it in my apartment within a week, at a cost that most can afford. However only the top 5% of the "rich" can afford an offshore bank account and a get a credit card. ... my best guess are there are about 3-4 million out of 1.4 billion with a credit card. If you get a chance to go to Shen Zhen, find the Landmark hotel. Go to the cafe and ask to see Andy. He'll set you up with nice girl to talk to. For about $1000 to $1500 RMB (depending on the season) you can 1 shoot and 1 shot with some of hotest asia has to offer. (about $200 for a model that fucks afterwards) |
If you have done your homework... Most of Southeast Asia don't have ccs and China as well amd Omdia have made it a law to disallow porn access (Not that have cut it totally off... just that they will arrest anyone found being a member of such a site) Or so we have read.
After hearing what you guys say about few people having credit cards in China, I sure hope the government blocks access to porn sites.
Does anyone here have more info on net access in China? |
Oh great. Billions of Chinese surfers! You might as well give them all Juno accounts since it's the same quality of surfer.
Yeah, I know.....sounds wonderful doesn't it? A country with a billion people and about 3 of them have credit cards....and 2 of those cards are probably maxed out!
I buy all my Chinese traffic from BoneProne...it's productive as hell and those fuckers eat all the jesus dialer minutes I can feed them.
At only 4 cents per raw hit, it's a freakin' bargain. :thumbsup |
Maybe IBill, CCBill, and Jettis can setup some kind of payment processing system that accepts rice.
Great!.........to bad they would be shot looking at porn:ak47:
Patience grasshopper! Now that they have internet, AOL, cigaretts and all our other evil capitalist influences it won't be long before the country falls into a decadent hell of credit card debt and a vicious cycle of 'keeping up with the Cho's'
Yeah, it seems China is becoming more and more capitalist all the time. Yay! Capitalism!
Damn, I love money. I read in Business Week or Fortune or Forbes or somewhere that there is over 500 KFC locations in China already. They will give in to the power of the force. They will become one with the master Jedi knights of capitalism. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ah...... |

Fuck -- this is one of those times I'd really like to know a chinese translator -- anyone wanna help me setup an affiliate program and speak fluent chinese and english? Contat me on ICQ. If you don't, dont.
Maybe this would be a good time to start a chinese TGP? Does anyone know the URL of any chinese TGPs?
You'd better stay away of the Chinese traffic, it's totally worthless. Lots of expenses and almost no revenue. Very few cards and many frauds.
Yeah well, I still say that my idea for a payment processor that accepts rice is a good idea.

But then again, most free hosts know to redirect Chinese traffic! Do it at your own risk. If you would like the number for your own Cogent Line I will pass it on because you will need it! |
Screw that, I'm not interested in having anything to do with chinese sites, but damn those asian chicks are just little hotties

Probably 70% (or more) of the chinese population live in rural communities, with little or no telephone or computer access, so put away those dreams of a porn empire in China.
Also, Censorship is notorious in China, particularly with regard to Porn and Free Speech. They recently closed 2000 cyber cafes: http://www.newsfactor.com/perl/story/12170.html Some groups are fighting to try to thwart the Chinese governments censorship actions, but it is not an easy fight: http://www.business2.com/articles/ma...,35075,FF.html |
lawpal - you know its funny, China has major censorship on the internet but in China you can find a hooker easily.
Infact same places have signs advertising their whores. Its in the open!. Weird you can find a million places in China to fuck, and the police don't give a shit - but you aren't supposed to do naughty things on the internet. While most of Chinas population is poor, the facts are: they have the second highest % of internet users. Anyone on the internet must own a computer and have some money. The largest problem is their lack of CC. Would dialers be an option to tap the China market or is best to just ignore those surfers? I'm wondering because, with the help of some people I know, I could build Chinese language sites. Is it worth the effort? |
Wait 20 years before you can make a buck with china traffic =) They know that allot of the shit is free so they won't pay. China has come a long way in the last 16-20 years. They need another 20 years to catch up with north America. Most of the people didn't even have a chance to go to school until recently. So the new generation of educated chinese will change everything.
http://www.china.org.cn/english/25718.htm I heard a large percentage of the Silicon Vallery in the US are Asian. |
I think China is evolving pretty fast now, a lot of high-tech business has gotten orders from there.
Yeah china is growing fast. You can hire 10 smartass programers for the price of 1. You know how fucken hard it is to get into University in China? (Only top 3% in High School get to go) You have to get like a 98% average just to qualify and the math they have to do in school is fucken insane.
You can hire 1 programmer from university for $400 USD a month. http://www.china.org.cn/english/ |
