bottom line is guba thinks we're all a bunch of idiots and are going to attempt to relaunch the skin in march. i know i won't let it go. i hope that everyone stays strong like the union should and show as much force back the second time around. they ARE selling away our content from under our feet. i don't give a FUCK that the newsgroups have been around since 79, i know that. i didn't pick up a computer yesterday. i know like 40 of those sites, i have been researching for two days straight exactly how many of them there are. i've gotten at 10 of them in the last 60 days to take my stuff down. its easy.

heres how it goes.

1) your members steal your content.
2) your members illegally upload your content to usenet.
3) guba crawls usenet
4) guba filters AND reencodes your content
5) guba reclassifies your content
6) guba sells your content to people who ARE potential new members on your site.
7) guba doesn't pay you anything for your content, ever.

INSTEAD, the entire thing is based on, "oh you get all that type in traffic from videos". lies. lies. lies. someone gave me a password, i looked, and only about 20% of the vids had watermarks. there are many reasons for that.

he is actually right: guba is not the only bad thing. But one has to start somewhere and guba decided they really wanted to be the first by skinning GFY.

This really turned out to be a bad idea on their part.

You also think it's ok to add "nofollow" tags to your link trades, but does that make it ok? I highly doubt the folks on the end of the 'nofollow' would appreciate it. I could be wrong, maybe your partners think it's good for them. No big deal I guess, just like GUBA.

The "big deal" was them buying a skin on GFY, something that was not advisable. If I have to explain the rationale, just let me know.
