DutchTeenCash 02-21-2006 04:30 PM

youre single right?

TheLegacy 02-21-2006 04:31 PM

I would say 40 to 50% goes into savings in some form or another - I don't put stuff just into an account but diversify my portfolio

Eric 02-21-2006 04:31 PM

I aim for 40% usually go over though.

Screaming 02-21-2006 04:31 PM

Downtime 02-21-2006 04:32 PM

reginaldo 02-21-2006 04:33 PM

meaning bonds stocks etc? I dont see that as savings esp when its high risk. But thats just imho...

FuqALot 02-21-2006 04:38 PM

I save about 80% to 90% of my monthly income - i would have no idea what to spend it on, besides more stupid stuff hehe.

MandyBlake 02-21-2006 04:41 PM

probably not as much as i should

canada they have RRSP's and other various safe stocks that you can invest in - plus I also have other funds I divide my money into eg. college fund for kids

Antonio 02-21-2006 05:41 PM

well, lets see, about 7 dollars a month, that'd be 40% of my income

strobi 02-21-2006 05:46 PM

I'm at about 70%. If you keep investing 10% of you're income you'll be rich if your still young, think about it!

Damn that's alot, congrats! I kind of feel the same way. I have a hard time spending my money (like in blowing it away).

minusonebit 02-21-2006 05:54 PM

I try to do 10%, but I havent been doing that as of late.

But I dont put it into a savings account and let it rot. I usually let it sit in an account until I get enough to buy a 1 oz gold bar or two at apmex.com, then I place the order and have it delivered. When it comes, it goes to my secret hiding place.

Sosa 02-21-2006 05:55 PM

I've been in the saving mood for quite a while now. Just closed on my construction loan for the new house today so bye bye money soon

PixeLs 02-21-2006 05:59 PM

10% and I always try my best not to miss it..

What do you consider "saving" then? keeping money in a bank account earning 3% interest?

fallenmuffin 02-21-2006 08:37 PM

I wondered the same. Currently I'm putting away 10% (well just starting too) and hopefully as my income grows I can put away more.

Z 02-21-2006 09:36 PM

None now...but my old man is on me constantly to do it. He says I blow more money than he used to earn in a year...blah blah.

Ya, I know. I wish I could too. It doesn't matter how much I've ever made, I always seem to blow it all.

Sanctuary 02-21-2006 09:45 PM

about 15%

betsy! 02-21-2006 09:46 PM

100% of mine, 0% of my husbands.

nick1980 02-22-2006 02:49 AM

I guess 20% of my salary is good enough.

V_RocKs 02-22-2006 03:13 AM

I put it all back into the business... Once I hit about 350K a year I will think about moving it into other directions...

The Duck 02-22-2006 06:32 AM

50% but if i can keep the 75% on my savings much better...

Peaches 02-22-2006 07:59 AM

When the big money was rolling in I actually played in smart and put the majority away and invested (though some investments lost me several tens of thousands of dollars, so I guess it wasn't so smart.....). Now that I'm focusing on school and some other investing, I'm taking money OUT of that savings. Makes me nervous as hell but at least it's there :)

p1mpdogg 02-22-2006 10:16 AM

czarina 02-22-2006 10:20 AM

Right now, I would have to say, only about 10%. But I have an investment that is comming up, and that is where the money is headed.
