Totally. Like i said, I'm removing content right now from people who didn't even ask for it...on top of those who did ask for it. For example, I'm searching for names associated with Lightspeed sites. He's never talked to me directly about it, but it bothers ME that someone has posted it to usenet. I'm trying to be as proactive as possible. I don't know all the urls and branded names of everyone's paysites. That's why it's faster if people approach me.. but please don't get me wrong. I'm ALSO going out and banning content and search terms from people I know aren't uploading it themselves.

thats all fine, but what about the people who own all the content that is still in there? because the maybe wont see it in there, should they suffer damage to their businesses because they don't see it? i'm putting this in perspective. content drives this business, you can't just show up because some loops and technis make it letter of the law "legal" and undercut every paysite owner in this business. if all the content is removed that someone else paid to produce, there won't be anything in the system but homemade videos that are untraceable.

i think guba made a very bad move basing a business model on this assumption to bring to the online community.

there is no way to determine what programs uploaded, (which i strongly believe to be very few, minus the occasional usnet abuse complaint i receive for affils trying to upload DRM'd content) and what leeching members have uploaded.

the majority of it is uploaded by leechers, not paysite owners.

lesbodojo, simple rule: If you won't have express written permission to use an image or video, then you shouldn't use it. If you don't have 2257 documents to prove the age of the models, then don't use it. You cannot pass the buck on that issue, because unless you can indentify the primary producer, you will not be able to prove the age of the model, and you become the defacto primary producer. So good luck.

My suggestion: Shut down and get a new business model, or go back to only providing the raw newsgroup feed.

actually its worse if you look at who's posting alot of the copyright material , its fairly obvious its the owners of the readers like guba.. often they have a "sig" advertising the software they sell "like guba" to access the material thru their interface easier.

If i pay some homeless guy to sit in a room in indonesia and watch a "private" server , then use it to store stolen copyright material then make an interface it doesnt make it legal or right

Google use this cache to speed up displaying search results (it works like proxy server) - they have link to the original image and website where its coming from.

GUBA claims to be web interface to newsgroups - and some folks show us there's more soft like this - guys please have you ever seen usenet? Is that what you see as GUBA search result even comparable to newsgroups?
There is only group name and date or so. What about autor etc. etc.

If anyone says GUBA is comparable to google images its just simple stupid - GUBA its more like fusker. Google images doesnt strip all images/videos from site and they doesnt charge for this "feature".
