American Idol - Love it? Hate it? Watching it tonight?
 

I've endured the try outs with the most awful off key singing. Tonight, I believe, begins the eliminations and we finally get to hear the finalists...

Who's watching?

I never really watched it. I saw it the 1st couple seasons and only really watched the hacks.

Sort of watching it on occassion. Kind of hoping the grey haired guy makes it. For some odd reason I like him.

Tassy and I make a point to watch. Guilty pleasure. :) And occasionally sublime human displays.

Can not stand that show. Infact, I dont think that I have seen a single show. For that matter its been three weeks since we turned on the tv, and that was to play xbox

I used to have a complete loser of a roommate who was obsessed with Canadian Idol. She literally squeeled in excitement when a "cute guy" was on and as soon as the show was over would spend an hour repeatedly dialing the voting number for her "cute guy". Seriously, it was painful living with that ...

It was so intolerable, that as soon as I heard the theme for that show I had a serious Pavlovian effect - I would run in my room, put a pillow on my head and wince until it's over. Thankfully now I can just change the channel. :)

I love to hear new singers. I feel I deserve to hear the best, now that I've heard the worst. Simon cracks me up, as does his relationship with Paula.

I started watching it this time around for the idiots trying out. I figure I may as well keep watching and see it through to the end to find out who wins, and what behind-the-scenes drama there'll be.

There's always drama there.

I am hooked on american idol this year. first year i have watched it

not really...i just watch it cause simon's there and makin the contestants cry or bully them...lol

So we'll all be back into this thread tomorrow with our opinions on who should have been eliminated and wasn't...and who should have been kept and got eliminated, right?

I've been hooked on the show since Season 2. It is an entertaining show. People usually bitch about Simon, but I think that he's great. He says what he really thinks rather than candy coating it.

I like the first couple of weeks, the try outs, because they are hilarious

I have to agree with ya, there are not too manypeople in this world that just tell it like it is, and people like this don't have many friends since they do want everything candy coated.....

He's refreshing. And he's pleasant on the eyes.

I hate all of the so-called "reality" shows that have nothing to do with reality. I know people who want even take phone calls when American Idiol is on. Nuts.

I haven't watched it yet since it's latest season started..

I enjoy watching the auditions more than when they actually get down to the contest with the finalists. I am having a good laugh to see these wannabe idols who can't even seem to have an idea how they suck. The better singers who make it to the finals are kinda boring. You know they're good and there's nothing more to expect.

I missed the damned voting.
