Did you have a set of the Pro Media ones? My buddy has had a pair of the older models for over 4 years now and no problem. I'm almost to a year on my home theater klipsch setup without any problems also.

The amp is IN the speakers? There is no fuse for speakers... there is a fuse for the amplificator..

Bose is nice. But by far not the best speakers at all....The marketing of Bose rocks tho, because many ppl think Bose is da shit

I have some new Klipsch speakers and they are gold! Then again they are not powered.

Meh, I recently bought a 3k$ computer... and the fucking thing keeps crashing on me every 15 minutes! lol, even AFTER I brought it back to the shop for the guys to check it :(

You should go old school like me anyway; I have Klipschorns in my office hooked up to my computer. Everytime the ICQ uh-oh comes on my dog bolts and hides under the bed.

Bummer... My 2.1's have been going strong for 5 years + but my 4.1's died on me in less then a year, my 5.1s are 2 years old but are also going strong

could be a ground problem like stated above... anyone that gives a shit about their equipment or how it sounds should invest in a high end a/c power cleaner
