Moral Dilemma GFY help needed.

I have to ask this as it will be grilling time soon so hear goes.....

If you're cooking chicken on the grill and one piece drops do you....

A. Toss it back on and forget about dropping it.
B. Toss it back on and feed it to the cat's?
C. Toss it back on and feed it to the neighbor?
D. Fuck that put that shit in the trash!

:upsidedow

G-Rotica 02-21-2006 09:25 AM

C is the only answer.

thaifan99 02-21-2006 09:25 AM

Well actually I have a cement porch that I grill on so it never hits the ground just the cement. I do mop the porch every so often.

u-Bob 02-21-2006 09:40 AM

C - no doubt about it.

Good enough; pick it up, brush it off (if necessary), and toss it back on the grill... good to go :winkwink:

MickeyG 02-21-2006 09:53 AM

depends on the 5 second rule :thumbsup

I LOVE Little Brown Asses 02-21-2006 09:57 AM

Are you serious? Just eat it.

If you knew the shit they do to your food in restaurants, you'd PRAY it just hit your recently mopped cement patio. And you ain't dead yet.

Bon apetite! :thumbsup

Herb Kornfield 02-21-2006 10:00 AM

You can always wash it off before placing it back on the grill....

From working in resturants as a young guy in my high school days, People's food hit the floor multiple times before landing on their tables.

And this was at higher end steakhouses....................

Dirty F 02-21-2006 10:01 AM

Heh, i worked in enough kitchens to know that everything they drop on the floor goes right back on the grill/pan whatever.

Dirty F 02-21-2006 10:02 AM

In really classy restaurants as well.

My dad and I had this happen on Thanksgiving. We were deep frying a turkey and when it was done we pulled it out and set it on the platter to take it inside. Not sure what really happened next, but the turkey fell off of the platter hit the concrete porch, bounced off the concrete like a basketball and landed in the yard.

So, we hosed it down, put it back in the deep fryer for a few minutes and took it inside. We told the people that were there what happened. Some ate it and some didn't. But later that day we had some friends of mine who came over and they finished it off. We didn't tell them the story of course!

sacrafice it to the fire gods

Kevin - The PNN 02-21-2006 10:47 AM

How is this a moral dilemma?

Spunky 02-21-2006 10:47 AM

Throw it back on the grill

Elli 02-21-2006 10:48 AM

The fire should kill most of any bacteria. Cook it a little longer before serving it :) What doesn't kill ya makes ya stronger, right? :)

ricks 02-21-2006 10:50 AM

Trailer trash.

cool1 02-21-2006 10:56 AM

as said rinse it, throw it back on the flame and proceed as usual.

TOURKNOOK 02-21-2006 11:02 AM

woj 02-21-2006 11:09 AM

come on, just wash it off, and put it on the grill... if it's already cooked and falls on the ground then really c is the only good choice :1orglaugh

CDSmith 02-21-2006 11:11 AM

Bah! Fire kills all. I would take that piece back inside, give it a quick rinse under the tap, then fire that puppy on the grill like nothing happened.

And tell no one. :D

That's what they say hun.

:)

Sosa 02-21-2006 12:33 PM

It is still good to eat :)

After Shock Media 02-21-2006 12:38 PM

It would be put back on the grill. Maybe I would brush it off or wash it if it had visable crap on it. Whoever gets it at the table gets it.
I know well enough that most grills are at above 500 degrees. Hell that little piece of chicken was way more bacterial nasty right before you put it on the grill than it was after it was cooked for a bit and dropped.

TurboAngel 02-21-2006 03:31 PM

Thanks everyone.

:thumbsup

sickkittens 02-21-2006 03:49 PM

Ouch... we cannot trust them, can we?

phogirl69 02-21-2006 05:08 PM

Honestly , A. The truth is that I'll eat just about anything and I'm not exactly the cleanest person in the world so I would just eat it, I don't care.

If it was meat I would probably clean it but I gotta admit I've eaten stuffed I've dropped without cleaning it.

or feed it to the neighbor lol

tristan_D 02-21-2006 06:13 PM

it depends on how clean or filthy the spot where it falls. it its a dusty soil, I don't think I would still pick it up. but if its a mopped floor i would wash it and toss it back in the grill

PixeLs 02-21-2006 08:34 PM

Put it back on the grill and serve it..
