You are kidding right, 40 weeks in the norm process. How is late 10 weeks? You know your pregant at 4,5,6,7,8.... weeks. If you are going to abord then do it then. Not at 37 weeks.

whats the difference? if she has an abortion after one month or 6 months your still killing what would have been a child. i say if your going to allow it you might as well allow late term also.

Having an abortion within the first 4 months or so is pretty fair. After that if you don't want the kid give it up for adoption, lots of people that would love to have a kid.

The only difference is that one they bad that, they will move on to other targets. I dont agree with the late term abortion either.

Any woman that has gone through with an abortion will tell you it's not a nice thing. After 40 weeks you're skin is stretching, your having cravings, your in a very emotional state and the thing inside of you is growing faster than ever before. Aborting the process this late would not only impact the 2be mother physically but also psycologically more so than an early terminated pregnancy.

Banning late abortions is FANTASTIC because it forces women to make EARLY descions about their child and gives them PLENTY of time to prepare for bringing new life into the world.

Maybe if people werent so utterly retarded, there wouldn't need to be abortions because people wouldn't be fucking anything that movies, while not wearing a rubber.

Saying that - nothing will stop people from walking into mexico, terminating their pregnancy and coming back the same day.

Life is FAR from that simple. Try living in the real world.

That said a valid point was made about how late is late? There needs to be time to allow the right decision to be made (and indeed in some cases for women/girls to realise they are pregnant) but certainly not too much. 20+ weeks for example is far too long IMHO unless there's some kind of mdeical reason to perform it.

Nothing wrong with banning 'late' abortion just as long as you get the term late right.

If you are a democrat and a Pro Choice, you cant have it both ways. The pro-choice argument is that life doesn't start until birth. If that is the case, then there is no difference between conception and 39 weeks.

For a pro-choice democrat to admit that late term abortions shouldn't be legal, is to essentially admit their cause is misguided.

If life starts before birth, then what week does it start?

Actually late term abortions are already illegal. All of this is pure BS. Not one woman can get a third trimester abortion ANYWHERE in the US unless there is a medical reason. This is all a scam by republicans to make dems look bad. Too bad the American people are too ignorant to realize this.

Also there are very very very very very few times late term abortions are even done so why are republicans wasting time and MY tax $ arguing this crap when we have REAL issues that need to be taken care of in congress?
